I would like to do something casual and fun, for instance maybe a cook out and a football game, or a ride in the country or the city just to see the local sights. I hate fussy dress up dates, I think it puts too much pressure on everyone to be happy and perform.....Give me simple!

I have always enjoyed riding looking at the Scenic day or night. Specially Christmas time when the Christmas lights are up. Yeah yeah yeah - I sound like a nut. lol But also - Its always easier to learn each other - while talking while riding around.

7. Other - Walk along the mountain (just as long as it's not *off* the mountain, but hey.. what's a little adventure anyway, right?). Nothing quite like being up high and seeing the world in front of you. I don't plan to bow down anytime to take what is shown before me in the near future (although if someone wanted to give me an "inheritance", I wouldn't mind either). But, it is nice to see what is out things from a different perspective.. that reminds me of the one time when (telling myself to shut up LOL).

First Date, Really simple. Coffee, or a drink somewhere. If the first impression is good, and the vibes right. Then maybe extend it into a walk in the park, or something to give you a little more time together.
Coffee, or drink. Also allows for a fast escape if it is turning out to be a date from hell

Well since I am looking for a man with a MotorCycle I think I would love to have a ride..then see if he lets me fall....off..if so then no second date..allowed...I'm the _itch who fell off once..never again...lol then stop at overlook on mtn...side and just sit and talk...

Amelia, when I was your age, Monte Sano Mountain, was the number one lovers lane in Huntsville. A romantic picnic in the park there, is really nice also.

Its a great place, but the cops run you off now a days. You can park at night and overlook the Huntsville city lights, there is a country song about it, let me see if I can find it.
I can't find it. it was out in the early to mid 70's, I bet Crimson remembers it.
It was about a guy parked on Monte Sano, and looking down on the lights, he was wondering which night club his lady was in that night, cheating on him.

Char, I too love riding on the back, especially in scenic areas, you feel so at one with the surroundings, plus you get to hold on tight, lol.
You need to come ride up Cheaha, there a few really beautiful spots - overlooks and lakes - really perfect spots.
And I have to agree... if I got dumped off the back, I don't know if I'd be riding with him again, but as long as you know how to be a passenger and he's a competent driver, you should be good to go (Cheaha is kind of windy).

Cheaha is great, rode there a couple of times, and camped at the park. Great hiking trails also. Plus the highest point in Alabama. I love it there, nice Chalets for great romantic week-ends

Skyline has a lot of beautiful sights overlooking the city from the top of the mountain. I know where quite a few of them are. I was raised on Skyline Mountain. There is a water fall, cove and cave a few blocks from where I lived.

A few years ago, a date and I went to the Plantetarium up on Monte Sano. Was originally built by Warner VonBraun and his crew. Good show, fairly cheap as I remember also.

** I am always curious when a person gives a statement like this. Have you ever been on a date with someone who wasn't able to pick you up for a date? Sure, I have a car...but I love the equal rights/equal opportunity thing.. I'd never deny you of the privilege of working hard at a job all day then driving 2 or 3 hours to pick me up and take me out, spend a pile of money, then driving the 2 or 3 hours back home... I've done that sort of thing before and getting home at 3 or 4 in the morning sucks. I've got a really decent car, cheap but nice and currently filthy and loaded with tools and work clothes. Heck, I see a real date as an investment!

I get the spelling, most of the metric bikes are pretty good rides now days. The only thing is they just don't hold there value like a Harley does. But, again they cost less from the dealer also, which is a plus.
I have rode Harleys since 1972, before then Honda's. I have a long motorcycle history, as they have always been a part of my life. My dad was a biker, and died in a accident on his, when he was only 40 yrs old, I was 15. That was in 1969. Such a good year, all but, that one tragedy. Anyway bikes is in my blood and always will be.

When my boyfriend had his arm amputated, I did all the driving for a long time. I would have liked to furnish the car longer but he insisted he could drive a straight shift with one hand. Boy, was that scary!! I was scared and he was happy. Liz
