Ignore the warnings
by josephfromabove at 10/11/2012 6:23:45 PM

That is what has been done for over 50 years when the college professors, and students of the hippie era tried to say pollution would build, and cascade non stop. Today in Washington state shellfish hatchery they announced the ocean is too acid for baby oysters to survive, the water dissolves their shells, this was on CBS news. The scientists are now saying this is the canary of the coal mine effect from this warning, because if we stopped ALL CO2 emmissions TODAY the oceans would still get more acid for at least 50 years. Soylent green here we come, in case you don't know what that was, it was a movie with Charleton Heston, and Edward G. Robinson about a heavily polluted and nobody has room to walk world, and they were told soylent green was made from algae from the ocean, all except it hasn't supported life for 100 years, and they were grinding bodies to make it. Talk about Mad cow disease. I drive as little as possible, and walk, and ride a bicycle when I can.

I remember in the 60s the skies were Orange from the Steel Mills in town. Lake Erie has poisonous algae that kills fish, and wildlife if they drink the water. So what is the answer?

The answer is not going to the market for a stick of butter when you have spread in the frige, stop those little unneccessary trips, car pool to work, and don't mow as often as you do. Where do you live Poo that you can't see Polaris?

For the first time in my adult life We have to THINK about milage...Not for the reasons you outline but because of the necessity of being able to get through the week on very little gasoline....I guess that makes us "Passive ecologists" or in the alternative...."Gasoline Challenged"....

The radio had a guy on who wrote a book about how the advancement of man destroys the earth. IE..better hunting capabilities affected animal extinctions. And that the earth is at the tipping point right now as to humanity and its affects. But, while we go after auto emissions...China is due to add ONE MILLION cars in the next year. So...how do we deny the developing world the perks we enjoy....and teach them that because they copy us...Gia will die.

For whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee. That would include all of the population of the planet.

This is sad, God left us a beautiful place and its being destroyed. I am listening for that trumpet sound!!

Obama passed that camp under one of his executive orders.
