A HOUSE DIVIDED CAN NOT STAND!!!
by josephfromabove at 10/31/2012 11:14:14 AM

I believe Lincoln said that, and it is true. As long as we squabble along party lines, then all we are doing is what our enemies want....nothing productive. When I cast my vote I vote for whom I believe is the best one to perform the job needed at the time, not for a party, whether they are liberal or conservative, but just plain QUALIFIED to do what is needed. I research their records, and see if they practice what they preach before I cast my ballot, and I do not listen to public opinions at all. The fact of the matter is CLINTON was the last, and only president to balance the budget regardless of his party affiliation. Now which do you think will do the same by his record, and not what he says? Then vote for him.

If only even a significant proportion of the electoate went about their vote as you do...Not only would we have honorable, competetant people in office but as a benefit our own lives would be peaceful and prosperous...Alas, it is not a perfect world, and crass and coarse campaigns bring out the ignorant and uniformed, along with the genuinely nefarious with their evil plan...

Ikavour the wisedom of the ages are with you as always. Your post is correct, fair, and impartial. How would you like to run for president, you would have my endorsement? I am sure you are an informed voter as well.

Aaah...the political passions have somewhat waned in light of the events of the last few days...Being from the northeast and having children in NJ and old friends on Long Island, and PA I feel particularily saddened by the pictures of the destruction and the knowledge that for some life will never be the same..In that light, the election and it's outcome takes a back seat to some petitioning GOD for intervention and for him to bestow some Solomonic wisdom on those who are STILL in positions of power to move quickly and wisely in their efforts to rebuild....

The preacher in our circle says that there will be more divine retribution, if a Mormon is elected as the president of USA.

In truth, there is no one who knows the outcome of the elections or what will befall us in aftermath. Not the news media, not the political analysts, not the pollsters, and not the Religionists who claim, with hubris, to have and inside track on the will of GOD...and of GOD's reactions to the foibles of man..."Puny man, my ways are not your ways...."

Arbob, it is almost tantamount to blasphemy to claim to know what The Great Architect of the Universe will favor. I say read the records of each and vote your best. I will not publically endorse either, it is my business who I vote for. Yes there is one who knows Ikavour, and you mentioned Him.

How many more must pay for your option to vote?
