Well that is about all we need is teachers cheating on scholastic tests, so they can get bonuses, and leaving the children not educated. In Atlanta today 52 out of 84 schools in the Fulton county Georgia district in which Atlanta resides. So 32 teachers that received up to 500,000 dollars a piece in bonuses have been cited by federal warrants and to turn themselves in by midnight tonight. In all it was said more than 200 teachers and principals are involved. This was on CBS news. They even threw pizza parties to cheat in the correct answers so that they could get their bonuses. Now what is that telling a child? It is ok to cheat, and yes even have fun, and eat pizza in the process, so the teachers can get money. Of course they didn't tell the children that the money was why. Bonuses are a incentive for the teachers to do better at teaching, not defrauding the Government out of money. I say they abolish the bonuses, and when the children doesn't pass, then the teachers get fired regardless of tenure. I am a professional welder, and if I don't do my job correctly, then people die. I weld gas lines, and install boilers,put up buildings, and made high pressure vessels for chemical plants, I am a professional craftsman and proud of it, and the teachers should feel the same way without whining about money, and just do their job, and make sure the children can read, and be educated properly.
