Why? Attachment by dawgpaws at 5/22/2013 8:39:29 PM I met a doctor who works at a drug treatment center recently. I guess he was feeling a little frustrated. He asked me "Why?" Why do we need these places?" I thought for a moment and asked him if he'd ever heard of the Buddha and his observation that in all life we have suffering and suffering is caused by attachment. The doctor said, "But I love my attachments." I responded, "Then you are working at the right place."
