suzydoll	4/15/2009 6:41:50 AM I wanted to comment and let you know that I too walk with a cane outside my home. I fell a year ago and broke my knee. Sweetie it has been my experience this past year that my cane bothers ME much more than it bothers others. I have attempted to accept it with a positive attitude and even have given the cane a name, Harry. LOL! Harry, my trusted companion is always by my side now days when I venture out into the world helping me to be more stable and protecting me from another fall.

autumnsmiles	4/15/2009 7:27:55 PM I do a lot of hiking.It's my escape from a world to can not accept me as I am,nor I it.And I ride my horses,usually alone.I enjoy the serenity.I wish sometimes I had someone to share that oneness with nature,only your inabilty to join me,for me to share with you that which I see hear smell and feel would bother me,not your cane.My own low back,hips and knees cause me a great deal of pain.For now I enjoy my freedom,but I know I won't have that for too many years to come.
altje	4/18/2009 6:48:20 PM I have had two knee replacements and use a cane whenever I am on unfamiliar ground (usually outside) or whenever I am going to be doing a lot of walking as it helps when I am tired. I am just thankful to be walking at all and it doesn't bother me at all or to anyone important to me as well.
jennyann71	4/19/2009 5:06:24 PM When I broke my hip I used a cane and I think it is quite ""vogue and I for one think I would be honored to walk with anyone using a cane, "Hold your head High" .

budworthy	4/20/2009 5:32:17 PM No for sure as I have to use a cane when the barometer drops down to below 29.5 as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I also broke my hip four years ago so have a pin and plate in my hip. I usually get by without having to use most all year excep for maybe two or three times a year. But for sure I would have no problems with walking with someone with a cane.
