its not the fact that its a material thing. but something with extreme sentamental value. so if growing up meens not being in touch with your feelings.then i dont want to ever grow up.

Your husband would want you to go get the necklace fixed. When my first husband passed away, it seems during the first year all sorts of things broke. I was so upset I was beyond consolation. Came Christmas and the tree we had purchased and used for years came out of the box broken for some reason. I think it was his way of saying "go forward, not backward." I bought a new tree, but used our decorations. I decorate the tree with those ornaments today, 19 years later. God bless you, sweetheart. I know where you are in the heart department.

Not going to advise you to quit grieving it's perfectly normal to grieve just don't swim in it. Get the necklace fixed and wear it out on your next date.
