getting along
by wilbur1935 at 8/6/2009 7:49:27 PM

having spent 8 years in the military and meeting people of all different races, backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions,i found it easy to get along just by respecting them.i listened to them ,even if i disagree with them.i can't understand why people get so angry at eachother when they have never even met them.my best friend and i disagree on a lot of things, but we respect eachothers opinnions and have no problem.my children and i disagree on a lot of things, but i dont call them names.i listen to what they have to say,and then just say ,i think you are wrong.it takes more muscles to fown than it does to smile,so let a smile be your umbrella and,as my son says, chill out. dont worry,be happy.

Getting along is the best thing to do. I agree with Sarge. I do not feel there should be nor that there is a chain of command on DH. That would ruin what it stands for. Just my opinion. gloria june

A big Happy Birthday Walt. I sort of knew you had one coming. But! I like to forget them....then they never happen...and i don't get any older. Ha! wishful thinking. I hope one good thing happens for you and you enjoy it.

Who is the trouble maker? And why? No chains to bind and no chains to control. Free spirits and joyful senior citizens on the move. Just let it go.

Gloria june and Wilbur you are so right. On DH there is no chain of command even if some try to be in charge. Sooner or later they will find they are not in control. We used to all get along in the 70's. Wish it were so again.

We get along fineand most have good post. Some post fall a bit shot of being mature senior citizen quality. If you can't work with it, just let it go or consider the source and ignore it. Just keep it moving and go with the flow. Have a good day and enjoy Walts birthday.

Forget what? You want glory? Sad but true that you did not do it by yourself. Is your arm broke? From patting your self on the back. For such a pretty lady you have sure turned sour grapes. I am sorry for that. If you want to continue following me and picking on me go right ahead. I am JUST LETTIMG GO.

You are absolutely right, Wilbur, opinions are that, opinions and everybody is entitled to their own. I have no problem with that, but when any of us writes something of a scientific or medical nature, it should be as accurate as we can make it. There is little room for opinions on some subjects and when we've made a mistake or written an inaccuracy and someone points it out, as mature, thinking individuals we should accept our actions. All of us.

Other people's opinions of you does not have to become your reality.

this incident was not a disagreement, it was a gross misrepresenting of the facts. If it was an opinion, I could easily ignore ones I don't agree with. All people are entitled to their own and as many as they want. Gross inaccuracy is not permissable. When a person with the mentioned condition tried to tell the poster the truth he was ridiculed and belittled. He left, and I don't blame him. So, this is not a little thing, and not something that can be ignored.

Smiling also releases endorphines...the "feel" good chemical. Every day should be national smile day!
