What Do You Wear in the summer?
by rosesandsmiles at 9/8/2009 8:06:17 PM

What do you wear in the warmer months? Shorts? Skorts? Capris? Longer skirts? Bermuda shorts? Last summer I became a huge fan of skorts. I love the look of a skirt with the added plus of shorts
I wear jeans also, I prefer capris and shorts with cargo pockets, so I don't have to carry a purse anywhere- just throw my keys, money and phone in my pocket and go! What are your preferences?

I am a shorts girl and I like the cargo pockets also. I will wear capri's for walking and biking if the weather is cooler or damp (wanna keep the knees warm), and a tank on the top or a tee if it is cooler. I have a few mini skirts and little summere dresses for when I dress up. And sun screen. Always sunscreen.

It doesn't change much for me between the seasons but then I am waaaayyyyyy up here in Canada. It can get hot but not like the southern USA does. I just add or take off a sweater/jacket/parka.

I am a creature of habit...I wear jeans all year round and T-shirts in the summer. But now the summer is over...so why are we talking about the past now?

At home in the summer. as little as possible. sleeveless short shift, short shorts and tank. Out..I love the short Capri's that come to my knee with a cotton shirt. Dress for out..sun dresses or the not jean material Capri's. Comfort and nothing belted tightly, much to hot! I wear jeans often, but not if I am going to be outside an extended time. Painted toe nails and sandals, bare feet at home.

Always a straw hat, wide brim. Cotton shirt and pants. Shorts and a dress shirt at night. My legs never see the sun.

cats I wasn't ignoring you, thanks for giving me a boost and filling up the blank space Thanks, everyone else also. Most of the women in their 40s, 50, or 60s, that I know in the immediate south, wont wear shorts or jeans, most especially out. I figure as long as I look good in them, I'm wearing them.

this was the summer that I decided to not show even the calves in public. Hard to part with the comfort, but I'm just out of NEW tricks to keep from looking so OLD.

When I was about 36, I met a lady in a clothing store..I had on a spaghetti strap sun dress. looking in the mirror..she walked up behind me..said stop looking at your self so critically. I said but look at my arms..they are drooping..she said with a pat on my shoulder..Honey, I'm 66, you don't know what droop is. She was trying on a dress very close to the one I had on. YES she bought it..I often think of that and I wear what I want.

The most important thing I wear is my blonde spikey hair. Its my personality, confidence, character, trade mark. It makes a statement about me and I love the fact that it's different. The rest is unimportant. x

I changed up my dressing habits this year and since i work in an office, I have been wearing dresses and skirts this summer for work. Sandals into work, then have to change into closed in shoes...yuck yuck yuck...At home, if not going out again, just my cotton pj's ...keeps me cool. When out capri's, or shorts with a nice top. Don't do the stringy tops......LOL

At home, mostly nothing, or as little as possible. When I go out, I cover enough that no one's eyes hurt but not enough that I suffer heat stroke.

As little as possible. I wear biker shorts and a tank top with no undies when I work in the yard, capri pants or shorts and tank tops when I go out....sometimes with undies, sometimes not. In the evening I wear a light weight bathrobe.
