What Is Your Perception of Love?
by rosesandsmiles at 12/17/2009 8:31:10 AM

Love is born of faith and lives on hope. Love has many reasons big and small and all of them are wonderful. Love has special qualities that make you one of a kind, "the only one for me". Love is things you do that brings special meaning to my life. Love is silent times, when your eyes and arms tell me all I want and need to know.

It makes a man or woman better people"""It is love that grows but grows together as a couple and not as one" Then and only then have you truely become """"one """"

Love is the 'everyday' living with someone that you want to share your life with...be there for that shoulder to cry on when you're having a bad day. Confidence in knowing that sparkle in his eyes and easy smile is yours alone because you put it there.

I heard this once and it sounded right! "Love, is when another persons happiness is essential to your own". It has always stuck with me as being so very close to the truth.

Bones - have to say that I agree - haven't heard it said better; I believe it boils down to "how good we make each other feel".

love is sharing, caring and giving unselfishly to that one person who makes you feel complete and like you want to be with them forever.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self seeking, it is not easily angered. It keeps no records of wrong. Love does not delight in anger, but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

With your encouragement, Roses Ive reworded what I said before at your insistance. LOL. Here goes: Love is opening up one's heart to another. Being vulnerable to hurt, trusting to chance, believing the love you give will be cherished and returned.

What a beautiful blog Rose and thank you. My perception is that love means different things to us depending on what age or stage of life we are in. The meaning of Love we felt or experienced as a teenager or young adult usually changes by the time we reach old age. For me I know that in my senior years I have learned to love more in the way that God loves me, unconditionally and that just about cover it all don't you think? Faith, Hope, Happiness. May all of us find the love our heart is seeking in this upcoming new year.
