Something I wrote about my daughter.

As the sun broke free of the clouds
As I stood in the delivery room, stunned and exhausted,
my composure started to slip away. Praying, not a god known,
but just a supreme, I offered my life.
At the time not noticing or caring about the weather I was peering through the large hospital window.
I tried to clear my head, looking to keep reality, I stood at the window.
My legs were drained and shaking, I thought I might fall.
I noticed the the clouds, thick and grey, every feature could be seen.
They hung in the sky amazingly right above the buildings.
The rain was soft almost mist like.
I said to myself, "God, you know I really don't mind the rain, thank you for it" even after I thought all was lost.
The next two minutes were amazing, the sky opened,
the sun was brilliant.
I will never forget this day for as long as I live.
I looked around, I couldn't believe it, and no one to see it.
Just then the nurse came in and told me to come, the baby was coming and she was alive!
As I ran the best that I could, I remember taking one last look out of the corner of my eye before
the door closed....... thank God
