Cells At Concerts by latestflame at 6/28/2010 3:54:32 AM Cell phones, cameras, etc... have become such a distraction I end up more concerned with recording video at concerts than enjoying them! Next concert I need to rarely record anything. It ends up looking bad and not sounding great in most cases anyway. About a week ago I went to a concert with a lot of popular sungers such as carrie underwood, taylor swift, miley cyrus, lynyrd skynyrd, zz top, etc... and I spent too much time recording some of it just to remember it later on. No real point to this other than randomly thinking about how much time I waste on things instead of enjoying what's going on! Not just concerts. Ha the first sentence makes it seem I was about to complain about others' distracting me with their cells.

s_g	6/29/2010 4:07:17 AM I know exactly what you mean. I find myself doing the same thing at my kids' events. I try to capture the 'perfect' picture instead of just enjoying their moment. (now and then I get a really good one though) And yes, SD....When I get the opportunity to go, ringing phones bother me at the symphony too.
tonyalasagna	6/29/2010 8:15:05 AM I remember when I used to go to concerts and people would hold their lighters in the air... now, it's cellphones! WTH? I felt like an old timer holding my lighter at the last few concerts. So much for no cameras allowed, huh? I remember those days too. And how about bringing your ticket stub to the fast food restarrant for a free burger? (Hardee's, I think it was!) OK, wow, I'm feeling old.

latestflame	7/2/2010 5:06:12 AM My volume is always off as far as that goes. By the way one concert I went to they did try to enforce the no cameras rule and they shined some light on my phone so I just put it away and didn't pull it out again. lol
