I no Longer Have That Mommy Magic

He's at a difficult age
When he's no longer
"My little boy"
Who tags along beside me
turning over rocks
or picking blackberries.
He's 17 now and
I'm no longer "it" in his world...
I can't make that
"mommy-magic" look
happen in his eyes anymore...
But that's OK...
He's a wonderful young man
with his own unique talents.
And even though he thinks
I'm not paying attention
.......I am.........
I'm proud of you Dylan,
and I just want the best for you!
.......Always......
