Are we moving on too quickly???
by fnlgal at 4/12/2011 9:12:05 PM

Someone explained to me that we often give up too quickly on relationships... because we're not getting what we want and because "the actions" of the other hurt us... we move on too quickly... she then told me to compare it to baseball... there are several innings in baseball... (you win some, you lose some)... and unless you're losing 17-0 by the 6th inning, you shouldn't give up! Basically if it's a tight game you may still have a chance of winning that person's heart!

It made me think? Are we moving on too quickly sometimes because of hurt feelings and little mistakes... how many broken hearts out there wished had had another chance? or maybe fought a little harder to win the other's heart? Or is the attitude "time to move on" really the way?

Abusive ones you run from!! -But the good ones take time!! it easy to always say oh there will be someone else to come along!! Not so in most cases

Yes frigal, there is one guy that was in my past that I do wish I would have went the extra inning for, but I was young. He will always have a place in my heart, and if we should ever meet again, I won't give up so easily.

I was rather notorious for booking & running as always another woman around the corner waiting to take her slot. But this time is different and nailed my shoes down to stay put

Made sense when i read this, about that particular situation..."Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, it means that you've decided to see beyond the imperfections"....maybe it might make sense to some and others have been there and tried...
