Football Sunday Sports Blog (New Year's Edition)
by gamerman17 at 1/1/2012 7:21:05 AM

Good morning ladies and gentleman, welcome to an special New Year's Edition of the Football Sunday Sports Blog. Today I will break down everything that needs to happen so that certain teams makes the playoffs and the overall playoff picture. First off, my former team of interest, the New York Jets, in order to make the playoffs, need a win at Miami and need Tennessee, Cincinnati, and either Oakland or Denver to lose. Highly unlikely that they'll make it this time around, but as they've shown us, anything is possible. Titans and Raiders are in an similar situation in which certain teams need to lose. The Bengals and Broncos control their playoff destiny. Everything else in the playoff picture involves seeding in which determines whether they play on wild card week or not. As for the NFC, everything is pretty much wrapped up. Only game that matters is the Giants vs Cowboys. Quite honestly, I predict the Giants to win this game outright. Romo is too much of an choke artist to be counted on, quite frankly. With my Steelers in the playoffs, just waiting for wild card week, where i'll break it down. Once again, Happy New Year and enjoy your day......gamer

Another classic theme. Plays whenever you face Birdo and the main bosses, escept Wart.

@ mandy , hopefully Big Ben injuries are healing up for wild card week next week. The backup QB should play this week and should be more than enough to beat the Browns.....gamer

@ mandy, Ray Lewis is good, as well as Suggs, I'd say. but they haven't won anything since 2000 when they beat the Giants. Bengals are up and coming but can't get over the hump, and the Browns, well, are the Browns......gamer

Giants win outright, as I've predicted. Will have my thoughts on the upcoming Falcons vs Giants playoff game and the Steelers vs Broncos game later on.....gamer

Come on gamer your a jets fan.Your losing crediabilty for what your saying. They are going to walk away laughing because they think your playing. You cant jump ship because your teams lose.Dont be a fair weather fan bro.I am a giants fan as you know.Win are lose i ride are die with them.I told you all befor romo is not the qauterback for the cowboys.Hurt hand are not .He lost that game befor they even got on the field. He was having nightmares about paul, tuck, and osi.Shit i would too.But i give alot of credit to are dbs.Webster, rolle and the rest. They shut down plex and holmes last week. This week bryant and austin.Much respect to my big blue.O side note cauphlin still needs to go.

@ vermont , you have a valid point to what you're saying, but as I've stated before, I've grown tired of this particular team with their arrogance and unable to hold anyone accountable and I was a Steeler fan in my childhood (until age 10) before I became a Jet fan. for 14 years, I've been a fan of the Jet debacles that has given me nothing but headaches and literally shouting at the TV. 14 years I have rooted for Pennington, Testaverde, and most recently Sanchez and Revis. That blowhard of an head coach needs to shut up and actually coach. Not a fairweather fan at all, with this since the Steelers and Jets are possibly the only two teams I care about. Congrats on your win. With this win and the win last week, Coughlin has to stay. If they lose badly next week, then you can make the argument.....gamer

After giving it some thought, yes you're right Vermont. I guess I should go back to the Jets being my primary team. BUT I will still have an interest in the Steelers, due to Bradshaw and the great Jerome Bettis (basically my childhood team).....gamer
