Be careful, and use a welder's lense shade number 10, 11, 12, or 13. 13 is the darkest made. When it gets in the center it will appear the same as the symbol of God.

keithcowboyup	6/5/2012 8:47:31 PM The transit occurs over the "northern" portion of the sun. There will be no exact center. & how a black dot over a "yellowish" outlay resembles the " symbol of God " needs some further explanation.

josephfromabove	6/6/2012 5:55:29 PM Number 13 is the darkest made for normal types of welding, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, 14 is recommneded for Atomic Hydrogen welding, which is highly uncommon. I have been a patron of welding supply sales stores for thirty eight years, and you have to order a 14, but 13 will be on the shelf, and beleive me if you use a gold plated lense like I do, it is safe for sun viewing. It also shows the true color of the sun, and not green like a standard lense.
