UFC 65, Ah Yeaah! by dustin at 12/5/2006 11:55:47 AM The UFC had its first show in Sacramento recently. I of course could not possibly pass this up as I live in Sac. Before I get to the event let me tell you a little story.. So we wait in line at Arco when tickets go on sale so we can get the best seats. We were very lucky here, they had this auction thing which made being first in line moot, however we were like 4rth in the auction so we ended up getting first dibbs on tickets. So me, being the genious that I am, decided to buy 8 floor tickets, 5th row. $400 each. My devious plan? Sell 4, make a huge profit, buy my own island, and live the life of an oil sheik for the rest of my days. Long story short, I managed to sell the last 2 tickets on the night before the event. It was stressful. Total profit: $40. Awesome. So anyway, it was a pretty good time. We were very close to the action, actually close to one of the Maloof's, (who, by the way, had the hottest blonde EVER with him, damn him, damn him to hell!! ). GSP vs. Matt Hughes for the title. This was a great fight. I was expecting a 5 round war. I could not predict this one, it was just too close a matchup in my opinion. But it was not a close fight at all. GSP kicked the hell out of Hughes, literally. Knocked him out with a high kick. It was sweet, he was setting him up the whole fight for that by kicking low. Damn GSP is the man. I mean seriously, he is super ripped, has MAJOR skills, and is only 25, which means he isn't even close to peaking. I don't see anyone beating him unless he gets bored with fighting. I think I may have a non-sexual crush on him, I don't know. Anyway, fun times.
