My brother-in-law is a crane operator and dealer and he can't spell worth anything. I had to help him with his written test...he makes more money than you can know, he's a fine person, and has an excellent life....spelling means nothing. It means nothing except as a means of demeaning someone if you're a better speller. Not good, man, it's not worth it.

There are various degrees of soft or firm, it's not an instantaneous transformation, it takes some time. I've been told it's 50% physical, and 50% psychological... so that would lead me to believe it was half up - good enough to stay lodged in there.
