hi all.
*sigh* i need out of PA. i want to go somewhere i have never gone before, by myself. has to be in the us, wouldn't have time to get a passport. can't be a lot of money...cuz i don't have a lot. and i want it to be warm.
last summer i spent two weeks outside of charleston, south carolina. i'd like to go down there again (because eventually i want to move there) but, i've been there.
mostly...i need a change of scenery, and eventually i need to start somewhere new...away from home. i want to explore and be on my own again (did this when i went to college).
any ideas, thoughts, suggestions?

How about Savannah, GA. Its so romantic. Or any of the islands off the coast of GA
oooo that's so tempting...not only do i want to go there, it's only about 2 hours from the charleston area (and i have family there).
wanted to go there last summer when i was in south carolina, but didn't have the gas money to get there!

Down the coast from Virgina Beach, or Myrtle Beach, down through Charleston and ending around Savannah would be a great road trip. Stop in the little country towns south of Charleston and order a steamer basket if you love good seafood. It's better and cheaper than ordering it in the city. Don't forget to try the Chatham Artillery Punch down on River Street in Savannah then try ask about the off the beaten track places. Drive back up through the Shenandoah Valley and you'll see mountain and scenery that take your breath away at every turn.
Colorado's got beautiful mountains, ain't got no ocean.
