probably because the people who only send winks are air headed ding bats that don't realize it is free to actually talk to people or just want to be annoying.

I come here to meet new people and make new friends. I also enjoy reading the forums. If you post to the forums more often, you will meet more people on here.
Winks.......I get them all of the time. It is a way of feeling someone out to see if they will respond I suppose. If they do, great, then write an email. It is an icebreaker.

i think the majority of ppl in here are just scared or they are in here for the wrong reason....i actually came here thinking i mite actually meet someone of interest but no one yet....i get rejected more in here than i do in the real world...guess thats why i give up

It has happened to me too in the past. Guys will wink and then when I send them an email they wont respond for about two weeks and when and if they do respond they will send a small obscure response that makes no sense whatsoever.
I think that some people come here and are not fully committed to this. They have too much personal shit going on and then they just put this dating stuff on the back burner. I also think that people lose interest if they don't get immediate gratification from this site.

Some of are still dumb enough to beleive that we might actually meet someone on line.
So we try to write a good profile and put up a good and recent photo.
But for the majority, it is pure boredom. They are not in a relationship (and I am beginning to think that they do not want to be in one with a few exceptions).
Or if they are in one, thier companion must be very busy and does not give them enough attention.
If I had a girlfriend, I would be spending my time with her. Not typing e mails to cyber friends and posting on forums.

I have said this before, and I will say it again.
I came on here to be sarcastic and make stupid
jokes and poke fun at people! Straight up! I had
no intentions on finding a woman. Just didn't think
it would happen. I soon found some REAL people, with REAL
emotions here. Kind, good people. I liked that and found
it hard to be JUST a smart ass. LOL
Soon I found "LADIES" emailing me who seemed so nice
and sweet that I just had to chat with them. I am so
glad that it has happened.
Some really special woman who has never even made one post
in the forums here has become so very close to me by many
hours on the phone each day that I do believe this kind of
thing can work, if given the chance. I have no illusions!
We will be meeting soon and things will be much more clear.
But for the time being, she makes me very happy, and I do
the same for her. If that is all that becomes from me
coming here, I DID WELL!
I do wish to thank all of the wonderful ladies of DH
that I have chatted with, you gals are awesome and I look
forward to our chats because we can not have enough friends!

From what I can tell lots of 50 plus men on the sites, all looking for someone they don't have a chance with... some deep housecleaning needed, starting off by cleaning off the bathroom mirrors.
Women their age don't want them because the men are emotionally retarded, the young ones don't want em either...
they will haunt these sites forever and ever...

Same here, I get winks, mostly from people from other States, I wink back, and they say nothing. I am getting tired of it myself It puts me to sleep
