I'm not talking "sex" here, I'm just talking about having someone beside you; to snuggle you, kiss you, desire you perhaps, etc. Someone you enjoy laying next to while talking until one falls asleep.

Yeah, I have too, and it's dammned troublesome 'cause when you do finally find someone you really want to be with you can't let it show too much (if you're a guy, which I happen to be) because you run the risk of seeming to "clingy" or something.

Sure have. I miss companionship the most. Good conversation, laughs. You know the looks from across the room, and no one saying a word. How about just holding hands, or a nice big hug??? Sharing the paper, or a movie, going out to dinner? Dag nab it. Don't get me wrong, I miss the intimacy too. But for me, There has to be a lot of caring there for me to go there. I know exactly how you feel. I haven't had a REAL "boyfriend" in over 3 years now. I've dated here and there but not felt a real connection with anyone. I think that is what I miss the most, connecting with someone on all levels.
When you're single for awhile, you find yourself craving simple things a small as holding hands or kissing someone, or having them play with your hair while you're watching a movie. You realize how important the simplest human contact can truly be. I just have to have faith that someday that one person will coma along and make all of the time spent alone feel worth it. Good luck to you with your search and remember, don't EVER settle for less than you deserve

That cracks me up!!! You hit the unadvertised nail on the head -- "If you want to make a *WO*-man run, just mention 'commitment'." Yow! Olympic speed out the door. Those of us guys who are "in touch with their feelings" (just like similarly situated women) see it all the time. Sad, but cracks me up, too.
