There's the free internet dating site called faceparty.com out of the UK. You might say it's a different dating site. It's pretty wild if you ask me. There's a lot of weirdos, freaks, phonies, and sex crazed bimbos. I spoke with one British woman on there and she says that the men are god awful. They're nothing but a bunch of creepy, sex crazed perverts. IMO faceparty.com is where myspace.com meets a poor man's version of Adult Friend Finder. Not only that, but that dating site is running rampant with Russian and Nigerian dating scammers. Ever since I've joined. I've been hit with a spate of Russian and Nigerian dating scammers. With these scammers are run by gangs of men out of their respective countries. They steal photos of models, actresses, the girl next door off the internet and go around pretending to be them to lure unsuspecting, lonely men into parting with their money.
Russian scammers try to gain a level of trust in their intended victim. They will tell you some sob story how they've been out of a bad relationship and that Russian men are the scum of the earth. They will tell you how Russian men are raging alcoholics, mean, abusive, disrespectful, etc. This a way for the Russian scammer to get their intended victim to feel sorry for them and show so sympathy. By about the fifth or sixth letter, "they" are falling in love with you. By the ninth or tenth letter they want you to wire them money so they can by plane tickets or pay for their visa so they can fly over to see you. This is a bunch of bullshit. Whenever they ask you for money it's a scam off the bat. You see the unsuspecting bachelor isn't chatting with the cute woman in the photo. Little does he know he's chatting with some old, fat, hairy guy named Ivan or Nikolai who is pretending to be that cute woman in the photo. He is replying to you while eating a roast beef sandwich and downing cheap vodka.
Nigerian scammers on the other hand are more blunt. They steal photos of models and pretend to be some American woman of fashion model caliber. They use this bogus damsel-in-distress scheme into scamming their unsuspecting victim some lonely bachelor. The Nigerian scammer will say they're holed up in a hotel somewhere in Lagos, Nigeria and need you to send them money to pay for their hotel fee so they can claim their plane ticket to fly home and They'll all be yours. They do it right off the bat. Any moron can plainly see this is a scam right off the bat.
There were a couple of instances on faceparty.com where I was chatting with a couple of women that I thought were for real. One claimed she lived in Florida and she worked as a sales rep for the garment industry. She said her job was taking her to of all places Nigeria. Hmmmmmm. Then something happened where she had all her money and possessions stolen. She was robbed by some gang. She needed me to send her some money so she can by a plane ticket and fly over back to the good 'ole USA to be with me. This was a load of crap. As soon as she mention the word "Nigeria" the red flags went up and knew it would turn out to be a scam. The other claimed she was from WV and she claimed she worked for an NGO (non-governmental agency). She told me that her job was taking her to South Africa and then on to of all places Nigeria. Then I got this strange e-mail from a guy who claimed to be a doctor. He said that the woman I was talking too was in a bad car accident and had her possessions, money, blah, blah, blah were stolen. The Nigerian "doctor" told me that the woman I was chatting with sustained near life threatening injuries and needed cash right away to perform the operation. LMAO.......ROFL! Gee, do these people think I was born yesterday? Do they take me for an idiot? When I could see right thru them. I could see them coming a mile away. Just by mentioning "Nigeria" and you know it's a scam.
My advise to you people is to never send any money to anyone ( man or woman) abroad you don't know or have never met in person no matter how real you think they are. With internet dating you have to have your BS detector working full time. Always be careful and you can ill afford to let you guard down. It's a jungle out there even in cyber space. Be careful of whom you're dealing with. Too many frauds out there to do you harm. There is an anti- scam site called delphifaq.com with advise and information to help you whether you're dealing with a scammer. It's worth it's weight in gold and save you the financial and emotional grief. Fortunately on DateHookup.dating you don't have that problem with such dating scammers. So be safe and be careful everyone!:")

Huh? I don't know where you're coming from. Maybe you didn't read my thread thoroughly and missed something. If it's someone you don't know and have never met in person and they ask you for money.....It's a scam period.

Well yanisa, in the end they'll always ask you for money by hook or by crook. Check out the anti-scam site delphifaq.com that has a wealth of information on such scammers. Here's a link to the site "Is she scamming me?" right here http://www.delphifaq.com/faq/russian_marriage_scams/f991.shtml
