Thanks for posting "Shy2u".
You caught be off-guard Mauibabe...even if I started the post. Just goes to show I didn't think it through. I had to think about it for a long while...and came up with a list. The list represents a compilation of the trials and tribulations that I've experienced and learned and/or making an earnest effort to strive for consistently in the last 10 years of my life...and nothing more:
1) Sees the glass as half full instead of half empty / Making the most of the situation at hand.
2) Treats people with respect.
3) Learned to let go of things I have no control of.
4) Apologizing and saying I'm sorry...and sincerely meaning it!
5) Learned to forgive. Mistakes are inevitable. Learn from my mistakes...do what it necessary from reoccurrence...then move on. I'm not perfect...I make mistakes...people make mistakes too!
6) Yesterday is the past...tomorrow is a new day.
7) Team player / Humble
8) Good sense of humor / laughter
9) A doer / find ways to enjoy things
10)People have feelings...regardless
11) Treat others how I would want to be treated
12) It's not all the wealth and materialistic things that a person has, but instead it is more important how I apply myself mentally and physically in life...that counts and is more meaningful.

I've learned after many years of  and 
I've learned to  even when no one is watching
I've learned that sometimes it's even more fun to 
I've learned if I'm  to often, then soon I'll be 
I've learned to look for the silver lining  , because things can ALWAYS be worse
I've learned to be more  , than  most days
And I try to find something/someone that makes me  , when I feel like 
I'm still working on trying to get more  , and watch less  (evening/morning news!)
  I try to be a little bit of both,
And keep an aloha  beating every day...

These replys are great. Learning from our past is somthing that is rare. So many keep making the same mistakes.
I think that over the last 4 years I have learned that life is worth living and does go on. It was really hard to continue living not just surviving after my husband passed away.
like about myself....
I am honest, compassionate, giving, strong and can be stuborn still find the beauty in Gods great creations...

Good for you Mauibabe. I for one have made my share of mistakes...and trying to learn from them.
Sometimes we forget that as individuals, we have alot of good qualities and much to offer in a relationship. We take ourselves for granted.
