We almost touched once
Two souls trying to connect
Never quite reaching
Lost along the way
Over powered by darkness
The coffin closes
My tears flow freely
Never to see you again
Goodbye my best friend
From a heart so happily blue

This poem does not rhyme
I do it to pass the time
I must be lazy
I think thats a haiku...

our souls dreaming words
unexpressable feelings
demand expression
painting a beauty
painting a duty to soul
seeking to live forever

that should have been inexpressable... dah...
how bout,
Coqui of Waiohinu
lone transport, you call in vain.
The hunters are out!
(coh-key) Coqui is a tiny tree frog with a loud call that goes from sunup to sundown, in numbers they are deafening. Agrssively invasive, there is a hard fought battle to keep them confined to the areas of jungle they have taken over mostly on windward Hawaii

Orchards in August.
Two dry winters do not make
For a pretty sight.

Lone coqui calling
Forever with persistance
Under the full moon.
Transplanted, as we,
In singular state, seeking,
"Copulate with me!"
The call of nature
To bring in the invaders,
Be alone no more.

The dimming sun now hangs low,
Late summer is here.

I'm a wanderer
Like the ever breezy wind
My heart's still searching
Growing weary with searching
I'm a wanderer
Hoping for love to find me
My love's always gone
where will you be my sweet love
My heart is searching
My soul is ever yearning
Yearning for my love
Where are you my dearest love
Love has come to me
My heart's finally complete
I have found my love
My true everlasting love
I have found you now
And we will both live as one

OBSOLETE
In time, as war ends
Peace destroys those few brave souls
Who answered the call...
