 Oh goodness...don't just give "anyone" a shot! To picky?... Maybe, but just re-evaluate your preferences instead. Look in the mirror and look into those eyes and see what it is you have to offer first. Then only go with your gut and not settle just for the sake of a date. Do not ask of another what you cannot give of yourself. Always respect yourself and your boundaries. Be just who you are and not what others think you should be. Just because your friend feels you are to picky, only means you do not have her idea of what is acceptable.

 Being willing to try an open-minded approach is a great idea. Z has a valid point in that you should not settle for less than you feel is a good match. The key here is to find a happy medium. If you are open-minded and don't limit your choices by having a long list of traits the guy you're looking for absolutely must have, you may be amazed by what you find. Sometimes what we think we want and what is really right for us are two very different things.
