Well at the time it seemed like the right thing to do. I was self employed, and she had kids, so it was easier for me to relocate. As for starting over, it was at first, it was very tough. Thankfuly though I had saved a pretty good bit of money which helped carry me through. Things are starting to come together now..

cool......glad its coming together for u. i wondered what i would do if i ever ran into that situation and im self employed too so its not an issue. i always thought about family and friends,etc. thats the scarry part. i may have to rethik this now,lol.

i've met some really great gals online. its been worth it since i never would have met them otherwise. when i first started i was very apprehensive. as time goes on u learn and then get more comfy. dont rush and only do what u r comfy with

Well Rocker ... for me no.... I usually look at one thing that is important to me. I look at their profile and will choose to connect with those men that have the same faith that I do. Then I will get to know them a little better. There have been a few times where they were men with no particular faith, and we still had a connection. I feel safe knowing they are involved in their communities and are good citizens. Its really all a matter of my gut feeling before I will consider meeting and also meet in the day for a date. Its just wise now days to do this.

It's always a scary thing, but if you really want to find someone, sometimes you have to take a chance. I met my last one online, we talked online a lot, on the phone, on IM, webcam for a long time. We fell in love, and we set a date to meet in person. So I drove there over one holiday weekend we spent four wonderful days together, and decided we wanted to build a life together. But the very sad thing is how she tore me apart in the end.

rocker......i wouldnt say take baby steps. sometimes that is the thing to do.whats important is that you trust your instincts.but ya dont rush. how you feel with someone may not be the same as with another. each time it will be different.

Taking a chance when you want to date is a prerequisite,I suppose.Everybody's different so, no one relationship would be the same. The only thing helpful about that is the fact that you learn from past relationships. Although this internet dating stuff is quite different.

That's all anyone can do. This time around, I think I have at least one more time of starting over left in me. so the next relationship I will be a lot more cautious, but if I want to find true love, I will still have to take a chance.
