Do you believe that you learn more about a member(s) who takes the time to post on threads and topics. I for one believe I do. People who state their comments and opinions show me a lot about temperament general views and some personality traits. In fact when meeting someone on line and they don’t post I often wonder why? Not saying it is a “red flag” but I am beginning too.

Posting definately allows you to get more attention...granted some of it unwanted.

There are many "lurkers" who just read and don't post.

I was on here a few weeks before I even discovered the forums.

100% agree, although none of the men I have spoke with, (well not all SMOOCH YOU KNOW L) but 90% seem not to know or care, or have time to post! But to answer I would say yes it lets you see a new aspect of that personality!!

Being in my area, in my age range, attracrive to me would make me respond to someone far more than forum posts.

All emails I've received were members responding to my threads and posts. I've noticed a lot of members creates a first time post or thread expressing their anger and frustrations about why they haven't been contacted, or found a date. Some of them sounded desperate 48 hours after joining DH.

48 hours sounds like the series. Well 48 hrs is a short time for me. But dating or trying to get a date does have it’s own problem that is for sure!

Another thing that I have notice being a new member is that some people who post are block from us in viewing their profile. I mean why even post if you don’t want people to view your profile and know who you are? Looks to me to be counterproductive and hidden from other members. I mean really what is the point and do they realize for me it minimizes their point of view. And that it looks to me that these people are paranoid and don’t believe in what they state and lack the conviction of what they stated concerning their comment about the topic. I ask myself the same question when I run across these members. What are you so afraid of?

Good topic! I think these people are hiding something..maybe they are fakes, or like you say they are afraid. When I find a potential profile..I always check to see if they post..I want to know what makes them tick!

Couldn't agree with you more. They must be hiding something or from someone?
