My 80 yr old Mom was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer.I have listened to all the Drs.But I would like any infomation,that anyone could give me or help me to understand it more.Thank You From The Bottom Of My Heart.Laurie

Sorry about your mom. I am not a physician, though worked in health care for my working life. Each person
is unique, so what type of cancer, and the prognosis, options, only her physician can advise, I would not
even try. I will say that three of my friends have some form of breast ca, and two of them were diagnosed
over 10 years ago and are healthy and hale, the other was diagnosed 5 years ago and is also doing well, though
her cancer has proven more invasive than the other women's. Main thing to know is that there are choices
for your mom, and which program she chooses to follow, she will find plenty of support and encouragement.
Just keep asking questions, try not to feel overwhelmed, and know that many of us have gone through
this illness ourselves or with a loved one, and we are here for your momma and you.

Also find some local groups in your area
because asking something like this in a dating forum...
isn't going to get you very far.

Yahoo health or go to sites that inform on breast cancer. Start a group on it because you are a woman and it may become a concern for you as well.

I just had my mammogram and it was "questionable" so this is in the forefront of my mind right now too.
I am having further tests and am scared to death.
EARLY DIAGNOSIS IS THE KEY!!!!! I am remaining positive and optimistic.

Dont worry too much. Over 80% of bad mammograms are simple cysts and such. Dont worry until the doctor tells you to worry.

like 10 women in my family have lived through or are living with breast cancer ... listen to the doctors ... get many opinions never just rely on one .... and always keep in mind she needs to fight to beat it ... your liveing with breast cancer not dying from it
