Hey REPO ~ When I lived in the big city (Anchorage) I used to see the repo-trucks crusing around town at all hours; kinda reminded me of Hammer Head Sharks looking for their next meal ~ always wondered what went on in the mind of a repo driver. Do you ever wish you were doing something else ~ like, maybe, just as you're backing up to some poor old lady's Studebaker because she had to use her last three car payments on prescriptions?
Don't take that mean that I think you're doing a bad thing; I'd just like to know more about what makes you tick.

Ted~ There are times I end up feeling bad for taking someone's car. The problem is that most of the usual cases are of people wanting a free ride. I pay my bills so its hard for me to feel bad when you dont pay yours. And, I have yet to ever take some old lady's car (Thank God) and I would feel bad but a job is a job!!

Done repo work my self. Not my bag, a a nessecary thing for sure! Not the repo persons fault that thier next job didn't pay thier bill....usually with plenty of chances to get evened up to. Too bad we can't spend excuses!

Yeah if we could spend excuses we would all have what we wanted. The way I see it in this line of work if you can get your car repo'd, pay the bank $1500 and pay me $500 in less than 24 hours why were you just not paying the bill??

Hope you know I was just being curious; and the part about the Studebaker was just to bring light to a rather profound case. I agree with you: if we pay our bills we can all love you all the time.

When it comes to the job I dont care if you hate me. No matter who you blame, and boy have I heard some stories, in the end it is your fault. I do have a heart but it does have to be put aside when on the job. If I ever went to an old lady's house and spoke with her I would probably leave without the car, unless she cussed me out and made me mad, then its fair game!!
