I was very shy and still am today. Every Saturday night would go to the local dance club with my girlfriends...but never danced, just stood in the corner and watched.

My parents were school teachers, not always at the schools that my siblings and I attended, but we moved a few times and sometimes we were in the same schools. I was fairly quiet due to my disability tho lots of people weren't aware that my accent was the fact that i was hearing impaired. I really had a good time in school until we moved to a certain school in so/central Illinois. Unfortunately, when someone attacks me I will fight back. From that point on I had a rep. thruout the area of being a fighter.

i think i was the one that was all 3 of those...a geek because i did not have to really study hard a freak in the sheets and probably the only smoking jock...i liked my cigarrettes...but was thrown off track because they did not approve of excersizing the lungs while jogging around the track so i went on to basketball and somehow had a hard time to understand their way of playing cause they wanted me to pass the ball before that damn whistle blew and i got thrown off cause i wanted to shove that whistle down that guys throat everytime i had a chance to go in for the killer shot he would foul me ...that prick ...so i tried out soccer and and i thought that the goalie was the only well respected position so i figured what the heck well the first time i was literally trampled and they got the score...as i lay there...i thought ok you want to play rough so be it...so as the player approached i knocked him on his ass and grabbed the ball to hear that damn whistle...they wanted to foul me for knocking him on his ass...couldn't believe it...so i figured i'd try out in baseball right...now there was more damn whistles and referees so needless to say i had to do the only thing which was to become that freak in the sheets...lol

This post is to answer Chey, and thanks for asking, dear...

My child found me!

As soon as my son learned that all New Jersey adoption records had been unsealed, he got a lawyer and spent a fortune to find me.

It was right around Christmas some ten years ago that I got a letter in the mail from him that read: "I'm looking for a special someone..." That was almost 33 years to the day that I gave him up for adoption. Very moving experience for an old rock like me.

He sent me two dozen pink roses, bought me a gold locket with his and my grandson's picture in it, he was every bit as happy to see me as I was to see him and learn what a fine man he'd grown into. My grandson was eight years old then, and my whole family was glad to welcome them into the family after so many years.

But it was not meant to be. His wife had a lot of issues and deeply resented the attention my son paid to me and that my grandson fought to sit next to me and play with me. There was so much love and she just couldn't take it. She felt left out of the circle of joy and determined to cut my family off from her family.

My son came to me and told me his marriage was going crazy since he'd met me. I told him that the best thing any father could ever do for his child is to keep his mother happy. I didn't want my presence to be hurtful to my son and grandson, so I told him it was OK if he let me go back into the background and devoted himself to mending his wife's broken heart for all their sakes.

So in effect, I have given him up twice, both times so that he would find a better happiness and a better life than I could give him alone. But don't be sad. I had him again for a couple of years and wouldn't trade knowing he's OK for the earth, moon and stars. We don't communicate at all because his wife watches the mail and the email. I continued to send my grandson checks for Christmas and his birthday for a year or so, but he never answered, so I let that go, too. It would be better for all if the the break was clean.

So much in life is Karmic. This certainly seems like it to me. My life is good. I can cope. As my Oma used to say in German: "There are sighs under every roof." We've all had one kind of sadness or another. You get through it and then you become a hard-nosed, feisty, dirty minded old broad like me. See? No harm done! LOL!

Well, being all of 5'2 and about 99lbs soaking wet in high school; and being the only girl with four older brothers---i was a drummer all thru jr. high and high school, and ran the mile run in track. I am still a hippie with black lights and lava lamps and still love the guys with long hair, esp. musicians.
