to me age is a number i used think that i would never date anyone younger than me but i have fallen for someone 2 years younger than me but that doesn't matter because its not gonna work out anyways but idk if i could go more than 10 years older i guess it depends on the connection.

If someone has problems with a younger guy, why is it unquestionably ok for the guy to be older? Could easily use the same kind of logic I've read here where if they are older it makes them think of little girls or something.
It matters to an extent if you ask me though. Age indicates life experience and stage in life, but it's not really a big deal other than that because it doesn't determine how anyone acts or thinks necessarily. Doesn't make someone any more mature because they've been alive a few extra years.
i think its "unquestionably ok" for the guy to be older b/c it has long been set into our society that men are the providers, so therefore if he is younger he doesn't qualify.
also if you think back to only 100 years or so anyone of any "high class" there was social boundries. like most of the time men did marry women who were younger than them, but never older. but then the women was seen more as a prise/property, which was also why her virgin status was hgighly regared while the men were suposed to be experianced with women.

it does matter to me. I cant date anyone thats one year or more younger than me. I go for guys a little older.
Me too. It just doesn't feel right if they are younger then that.

They are usually a little bit imature for me. Plus then they are my little sister's age, so all I can see is a little boy. I'll set them up with her though. lol. As long as they don't seem like a**holes. lol
I feel the same way younger guys remind me of little boys, my cousins age! I just couldnt do that... too creepy.
awwwwwww........ me no boy though....

age is just a number but the question is how mature are they for their age? I'm a 22 year old but i have an open mind so if they are mature for their age then they stand a chance but if they are immature then hell no and some 18 year olds that i know are way more mature than some 28 year olds that i know...so it all kinda depends on that...

So you would date a girl that is 15? I wouldn't recommend that. But seriously know what you mean. Age isn't that important, within reason.

Well, I agree with blanacide, make sure they're legal.
I think age is more important when we're younger. An 18 y.o is not going to be in the same place as a 28 y.o. but a 28 y.o. could be in the same place as a 38 y.o.

I would have to say age does not matter. I have always dated guys much older then me and I also dated someone who was younger then me. In fact when I was 19 I dated a 40 year old. Although it did not work out because we did not have any chemistry we had a good time. I am 22 but people think I am much older because I am mature for my age so I date guys that I feel I have a connection with and most of the time they are in their early to late thirties.

i had a boyfriend and he was 3 years younger than me. But i never regret about it because he was the best of all. He treated me like a queen and was very mature. So the age really doesn't matter.

I think its not the age that matters (as long as shes 18 lol) but more along the lines of life experiences. Most guys my age arnt as mature as I am they are still in their party phase in college but I grew outta that In the Marines after my first deployment and realized that life is too short when you see kids your age not coming back home to party. so i realized i wanted to live life to the fullest. Im probably the only guy in my group of friends that wants to find someone to settle down with and they just wanna party and have one-night stands. so i think that its all about the life experiences
