I felt a need to ask this due to emails I have received. Though I tend to joke around I mean what I say or write...I'm dead honest to the point of being rude by some folks estimations...
So I clearly wrote in the body of my profile, My Turn offs. the first is receiving emails that begin "You're HOT" yeah yeah the AC is off and there's 80 percent humidity outside, that is why I am hot... Or "You're soo sexy" Dudes sexy is an attitude not a look.. anyhow you get the picture... So do tell! I think it would be interesting to find out how many of ya'll bother reading the profiles if the picture is appealing? Keep in mind this is not a guy or chick thing, I know some chicks are as guilty of this behavior...

If I like the picture, I'll read the profile.
If I don't, what's the point?
And sexy is very much a look.
Attitude has little to nothing to do with it.

Most stop at the picture I think. I got so many emails asking what I liked to do(hello, read what I f**king wrote in there) that I finally just deleted the wording from my profile.

If I'm cruising profiles to check out the people, I read their profiles (not just slobber over a picture). If I'm here on a forum and see someone or hear something I like from them, I may say something directly to them (email) without reading their profile---kind of a "hi" opener. Granted that probably means I may have screwed up 15 protocols and not be their type of person at all or who they are interested in, but that is what delete is for if you just don't want to meet someone!
After all, not all of us are socially perfect in person or on line, but if you don't ever speak to someone or try, you sure won't get a response from someone who might interest you!

Just like peach said...They email me and ask me things that I have already written in my profile.. Better yet, after about 3 wks. here, I knew I was not interested in meeting a date on line..So I put IN BOLD letters .... I AM ONLY HERE FOR THE FORUMS and
friends...PLEASE do not send me winks, or emails.. I will not respond..
THEY STILL DO  Hey, I just Ignore and delete, unless it is a friend..

I must be somewhat lucky as a guy then not to get those questions asked very often of me. But, to answer the question, If I like or am attracted to the persons photo, I will go ahead and read THE WHOLE profile word for word. If the personal description of the person is something I have really enjoyed reading, then when I send a message, I will say so as well as commenting on their photo/photos.

If they're only in it for asthetics then they will be just as lonely with their pick as without. When age strikes hard, looks fade. It's better to pick a woman based on heart and good upbringing. Looks has nothing to do with whether a woman is good or not. Sex has NOTHING to do with whether a woman is good or not. Some sane advice, if you're trolling the dating forums with your eye set for a particular look, stop now, turn off your computer and go do something else. The only thing you're headed for at this point is a train wreck of emotion.

FIRST I look at the pic and then the age and the distance ... alllll are important to me .. if all thats cool then I read on   ............... and I think that sexy is BOTH an attitude and a look ... you can ACT sexy and or you can LOOK sexy

I got an email from a stranger that said, "I want you". How can he possibly know if he wants me or not. He looked at the pics and that was it. He never bothered to read my profile.
