 Okay, Okay, we all came from our Mother, but I want to know where you first lived, for how long and what made you move to TN? (No, I don't think you all lived under the proverbial rock........ ).

Moved here 3 years ago from California. My daughter is in the Army at Fort Campbell and a single mom. When I seperated from my ex I decided that why stay in California and have the grandson while she was deployed when I could just move out here and help her all the time. It was the best decission that I have ever made.

well i moved to tennesse about 5 months ago from michigan. i moved here for 3 reasons. 1 the economy in mi is getting worse and the cost of living is going up and the crime rate is unconrtolable. 2 i was in a not so good relationship so i decided it best for kids to go far away. 3 i had family here to help me out so that made the option of moveing far away ever easier. and although it is alot aiffrent from what i am used to i can see it being a much better place to raise a family.

I am from the Indianapolis metro area, originally. Moved here because....
1. I was in a long distance relationship at the time, and that person and I wanted to take the next step. Things didn't work out, and here I am.
2. After a 16" snowfall in February 2007, I said "enough was enough" and didn't want to see snowfalls like that anymore. I don't miss subzero temperatures, and the big snowfalls which the snow turns black and doesn't melt for weeks at a time. Everyone here in Chattanooga talks about the "Blizzard of 1993" (in which 24" of snow fell and melted a week later, the low temperatures were -20 degrees during the week on average). The snow melted here, and the low temperatures were no longer subzero in central Indiana.
3. I have a great sense of adventure, and central Indiana was much too flat for me. I love the riverfront in downtown Chattanooga and the mountains surrounding Chattanooga, but still no ocean.
4. The weather is warmer in the winter than in central Indiana, but also hotter in the summer than in central Indiana.

Same here. I was born and raised here. I grew up in Hermitage and just happened to move to the White House area because of good schools and decent housing prices at the time.

I hear ya there. What keeps me here for now are the mountains that surround Chattanooga and the downtown Chattanooga riverfront.

I moved here from Texas in July because I had lost my job in Texas. I like it here better, but yet I still want to live in Michigan where I grew up. I'm at a crossroads in my life which my take me to Michigan yet. I was in college taking my basics for meteorology, but when I got here I became an out of state student and didn't have enough financial aid to cover my tuiton. I may go and drive truck next spring or I may go back to school, I don't know which yet.

I originated from Michigan. Lived there all of my life until 3 yrs ago.
I moved here because:
One- I was divorced and wanted to get away from the Ex and all his drama.
Two- At that time the economy in Michigan wasn't going so well and I had been laid off from my job. Was having trouble finding anything and moved here to work for my brother.
Three- I have family here so the move wasn't as bad but it's still taking some adjusting and I've been here 3yrs.
It's a beautiful state...but where I live is so boring compared to where I came from. You could go anywhere in a short time and have some kind of fun. Not so here. Here you have to travel long distances..
And everyone knows everyone here!!! I think I miss my 3 feet of personal space! LOL
