So obviously this is a dating site, and it would make sense that most everyone would like to go out on dates more frequently.
...........but I also know that people are using this site and other methods to land dates.
How often does everyone actually go out on a date?

Went out pretty often last spring and early summer with a few gentlemen but haven't been out now in a while. Guess I hit a dry spell during the drought LOL.

Well, I would have to say that I prefer the meeting people at work method... but that is also why I am here. msjessy, guys in MI must be crazy, come to FL and we could go out   im so stupid

Once or three times a month.to a movie by myself or just some shopping...to busy working or volunteering..which I just started..so I pretty much don't have time to date..if something comes up then maybe...

A date? What's a date? lol For about 10 months last year "Richard" and I only went out with each other..........then he decided that he would ask someone else out that was about the time I joined a couple dating sites.  I feel like I mostly hang out with a few friends. I go out maybe if I am lucky once a month. Yesterday I guess I was feeling like pushing my luck so I typed out a text saying "Hope you have a good Sunday" and then I sent this text out to several people.... a couple of my daughters, a couple guys I talk to hear and there and I found a few phone numbers that I had not talked to for a while. Well thsi action did seem to work! I got several texts back. One texted back...who are you? lol Another texted me back and forth a couple times....then said want to meet today? Oh my heck was I in trouble! This was one of those numbers that I did not really remember exactly anything about him! lol I had to call and confess.... but we did meet at McDonalds and I enjoyed visiting. Then I had another one that I had messaged....... that was glad to hear from me. What is up with this guys? Like if they didn't hear from me they just stopped contact.........Can they not call me? lol Oh ... I'm cookin dinner for one friend tonight- would love to sneak off later to his place to watch a movie.

Are people just thinking of this interaction as "non-date" activity and they're yearning for more traditional dates?

Right on Arkansas. I would have to say that having a nice girl over for a meal I prepared is my favorite date. And bonuses if she can cook too.

never called it a date.........that is why I said I seem to 'hang' out more than anything.  I want a hot date! I want someone to ask me out somewhere nice

Oh you think so? lol I guess I never took the class dating 101 too bad you are in Ak or you would already be aware that I want a 'real date' One I can dress up for and one I don't have to go pick the guy up for.
