As treasure glistens,
You fail to see the beauty
Just within your grasp.

" Nature of Masks"
Can I speak more plain?
When hidden beneath my mask
only truth comes out.
"Yesterday"
Smooth zephyr whispers
The leaves play tag, nostalgia.
childhood returns

Just One More ~ Haiku ~
Part I
See through liquid death,
Hell and ice in a clear glass.
When is one enough?
Part II
"Just one more." He swayed.
He never thought these would be
The last words he said.
Part III
That curve came too fast.
Skid marks, torn up fence and glass,
One more pointless death.
Part IV
His coffin is closed.
Family and friends crying.
Disbelief, but not.
Part V
What were you thinking?
Didn't you learn anything
At all those meetings?
Part VI
"Man, just don't go in."
That's what I always would say.
You wouldn't listen.

This bony old cat,
Sixteen years, she's been with me!
And, beautiful, still!
