(1) Flowers sent for no reason at all, but "just because".
(2) Informing whoever my "significant other" is that I received a call about her needing to be someplace to receive a "pirate map" clue. If she asks why, then to let her know a secret wouldn't be a secret if she knew what the secret was and to just "go with the flow" on this. No questions asked.
(3) Having a bubble bath waiting for her when she gets home, with various types of flowers, with "Bolero" and "Scherezade" playing, and with either sparkling grape juice or wine (depending if she drinks alcohol or not).
(4) If she's the artistic/creative type, plan out a full day/weekend of activities such as (a) an art museum (and getting lost in time with various centuries of art), (b) musically-related events, (c) a pottery class with molding clay, (d) a ballet or Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance", and (e) attending a poetry jam. Then, I would give her something that I created to remind her how much I appreciated spending the day with her.
(5) Having a philosophical discussion with her about romance. Then to look into her eyes as if to say, "I love looking into your eyes, because they are the windows to your soul. There's nothing more philosophically romantic than that."

You mean stuff like meeting them a the door with a hug, or a hold.
Bringing home those little things that make them smile and say 'AWWWW you shouldn't have'.
Making them a candlestick and then making the meal too for a real candlelit dinner.
Taking them out to watch the sun set, and then watch the moon rise, for no reason other than to be with them.
Simple things like that to show them you care.
