I just asked a similar question on a blog I posted on Missouri Chat.
My question... "If you see a man with a kid around town with no female, do you automatically assume he is married and "she" is at home, or that he is just doing the visitation thing? Or do you take into consideration he is actually single father?"
So women are probably thinking I'm married and just dont wear a ring! Do guys like me need shirt to say "Im not married, take a chance and find out!" Guaranteed to prove it if they walked into my home, or for that case, just ask my son who is always with me if there is any mom/woman in our home!
Women do the same thing not wearing rings.

When I was married my husband went to flick his chew out the window of our car and it was winter - off flew the ring. In the spring we tried to find it with one of those detector things in about the area we thought. We never did. We couldn't afford another so for MANY years he went w/o one. As far as seeing guys out and about with their children...I ALWAYS assume they are married; just realized it could be because of the above I stated.

Well my dad (before the divorce...) wasn't able to wear his ring often since he was a firefighter and they often got very warm to say the least. My mother often didn't wear hers as well, she's a nurse they often got caught on her gloves. Sometimes its not that a guy is cheating, but that he forgot to put it back on, or maybe just dislikes wearing one. Being married doesn't require a ring you know.

My ex never wore his. But maybe sometimes that can be a good thing since allot of women are attracted to men who do wear them.
indoubt, you are sooooooooo right here,if their not wearing their ring in public, they just want to be left alone. My friends and myself have PROVEN this theory sometime ago,If ya want to get noticed and want a date or a lay,all you got to do is wear a wedding band, and it doesn't even have to be real,or expensive.During this littls experiment,8 out of 10 woman fell for the guy wearing the wedding ring than not.Reasons that were explained to us later was,the woman thought they were getting something that another woman found appealing and had,And the single LONELY guy,no ring was LESS appealing, not because of looks or even personality, but b/c of social status, unattached.Geez go figure,And then woman wonder why men cheat, well with all of that"I'm going to see what his wife's got"mentality out there, kinda answers the question all by it's self ,now don't it.

I could not wear it at work since I worked around computers and printers and it was dangerous (not to mention hard on the ring, mine looked like it had been run over a few cars because I would forget to take it off sometimes until I just stopped wearing it.)
I also absolutely hate wearing things on my hands, took me months to get to a point that I could wear the thing a whole day without my finger swelling or being in pain. I have never worn rings or any kind of jewelery.
I tried to wear it when I could, but eventually it was just lost in a nightstand drawer until it was over. Of course she wore hers all the time, even while cheating on me, so guess they really did not mean anything. (I gave it back to her when she left me, and took the diamond one back from her as well.)

Hate to be a killjoy here, but I got to take the other side on this one. Some men
work jobs that don't allow for jewelry. I work the oilpatch and it's very dangerous to
wear any jewelry on a drilling rig. It's bad enough that most of my dating prospects are
already missing a finger or two anyway!
If I marry again in the oilfield, I will be satisfied with tatooing his forehead.
Tats are much cheaper than gold anyway!

To me a man who wears a wedding ring is saying how much he loves his marriage, but you know it is sick to me when a man who is married wears his ring every day , but sleeps with other woman and crys about his sex life at home.

You know, that T-shirt design idea could be a million dollar money making scheme...I'd go out and patent it right away!

I worked with a guy who rarely wore his ring & now he's my manager. Every chance he got, he'd flirt with me & tried to get me to go out with him. I asked him one time if I should go & ask his wife if she'd approve, he's left me alone ever since...lol
