I am 61 and still working--healthy and have lived thru a lot. I don't mind being 61--but I pity the young people. Socialism is not an ideal way to exist. I plan on living my life out on my terms--no expectations from our government. I am not voting because there is no one to vote for. But that is just the way I think about it. You younger people better stop watching Dancing With the Stars and pay attention to where your future will be as time marches on. And study where we have been. This crisis with money is nothing new--the 60s, 70s and 80s had it--gas shortages and high prices are nothing new. Housing issues are nothing new. You cannot make chicken salad from chicken s--t !! Not one of the people running is worth a hoot. That's my opinion. Thank you for asking.

I feel like I need to go with the 'devils I know' rather than smooth-talkers I don't know. So does that mean I split the ticket and vote McCain-Biden? Maybe... I was leaning toward McCain until he picked his VP, because I felt he made that choice just as a gimmick. But we need to decide on the Prez primarily, and not the VP, despite the issue Palin might be more likely to become Prez than Biden due to the natural demise of the president. Obama hasn't won me over, so I am swinging back to McCain.

Well here I go.......I shouldn't even say this but
I am very turned off to Obama. It began with his wife. LOL
She said, "I am finally proud to be an American."
My thought....if she wasn't always proud, she doesn't deserve to live in my white house. She can go live where her ancestors lived and see if she is proud. Too many men and woman have given their lives for her freedom and they do not deserve her disgrace from that comment! Have u noticed that she has been swept to the back ground to shut up?
I had a friend tell me tonight that he wants to change the pledge of allegence and the national anthem. God is in it!!!! OH NO!!!!!!
I say to all of the people that b*tch about this country....try to live in another and see how it feels. You won't be able to get home fast enough!!
Maybe he should go somewhere else too!!
EVERYONE SHOULD VOTE!!! That is why we are free........that is what this country stands for and we all need to stand up and do the right thing!

I agree everyone should try to live in another country. I lived in what they called a safe house in Iraq where we only had about 15 americans living in and was in the middle of some mud hut I said MUD HUTS really shitty hot as hell and sucked. Well OBAMA and his muslim f-in family should go back to there middle eastern country. He is not an american or will he ever be. He wants to pral to ALA go somewhere else.

racerjt thank you for serving our country. But I disagree that Obama is a muslim. Why did he belong to a church for all those years? Not that i like Christianity any better, but claiming he's a muslim is silly, even Fox news doesn;t accuse him of that. McCain is going with similar policy as the last 8 years, which have not worked. My problem isn;t so much with McCain though, it's that even if he serves out a first term, Palin will be in the running and i am opposed to many of her views, views that do not represent all americans. I don;t want the religous right running things politically. If they want to keep it in their churches and homes, i have no problem with it, but when they take that shit to office, it's bad news for a lot of folks. When they control things in congress and senate, then their church should pay taxes if that;s how they got funding.

What scares me the most is that we really only have two choices.
Since i am voting for Ron Paul, i pretty much don't care which one of those two wins.
It's sad, really.
ron paul withdrew from the race, he is not on the ballot, instead he endorsed chuck baldwin

Well let me start off with this. I apreciate all the support from the people who care about our soldiers. On the other hand I dont think either one of them should be running. After being in the military for 8 yrs my views have changed dramastically. Out of the 2 we have running I would have to vote for McCain due to his military background. Also who wants a guy who's wife quoted word for word" I am so glad to become an AMERICAN" He has ties with one of the cell's and I think he is going to put OUR country in a time where we will not be able to handle it nor fix it. I think everyone of you who havent served needs to go and see where my thoughts are with this presidential race.

Normally I keep my political opinion to my self but I will chime in......
I am neither Rep nor Dem when asked I simply reply I am an AMERICAN!
Now with this election coming I am very Pro Military I served as did my father and his father. My father served in both Korea & Vietnam..... For Mr. McCain I thank him for his service to our country and am proud of him for his sacrifice. As for Mr. Osama well his record is too short to show any history on his level of competence to do the job. With that being said they are both Politicians this fact alone makes them not trust worthy and very unqualified in my book.
Some people will think me crazy for saying this but I want a Citizen not a carrier Politician running this country. Some one who will care about the PEOPLE not the special interest groups ~~~~~> and with out campaign finance reform we as a country will never see it. We are being forced to live with a 2 party system due to $$$$$ nothing more.
I LOVE this Country ......... but I HATE this society we have created. Our fore fathers must be sick over the mess we have made with this Beautiful Country.
I am Beholden to no one but the men and women who put their lives on the line every day for our freedoms and well being Military, Police, Fire, EMS ~~~~> These are the true American Hero’s least we forget .........
We should never forget 9/11/01 on that day many ran into harms way....... but when the smoke had cleared and the ash had settled.... in come the poiticians and media mongers to seem like they give a shit. when we sent troops to fight a war that still rages on today ...... our military answered the call while the politicians report on the new how good a job "Their" doing managing the war ~ or how they were against it. WHO CARES ~~~> Men and Women are Dying over there of news bights. We have solved nothing but the troops march on. We claim to be the most powerful nation on the plant yet our HEROS go with out proper medical coverage. Our Hero’s from ground zero are sick from toxins the Govt. says were not there ~~ no medical coverage for them either......
I am proud of my countrymen and what makes this country great
But ashamed of my countries politics.

I am not voting....who am I going to vote for, a Bush follower with a model by his side or a good speaker with no enough experience to run the country.
Either way we are screwed. So what the big deal.
I have a backup plan, I own land in Costa Rica, if it gets bad my family and I are out of here, see ya. There are many more like me.....good luck to us all
