So I recieved an email of the most colourful vulgar descriptive wording ever seen in my time so far...And what revolts me more is that its from a 60 year old man ...He is the second 60 odd year old man on here to verbally abuse me ..To say I am am disgusted is an understatement...And all over my posting in two seperate forums.... What an excellent example for younger american men wow you both must be so proud of yourselves....All I feel is pity for you sick bastards and God help any woman who has the misfortune to meet you either on here or in the real world....

Lilli at the bottom of the emails there are options to flag them.
Emails are given far greater priority than forum posts and abusive members are usually deleted quickly.
I hate to say it but those profiles regardless of what the age says, are usually kids sneaking on playing games.

Don't be so quick to put these men on such a high pedestal as to say they are setting an example for the youth. The awesome thing is that kids are actually a lot smarter than what people give them credit for. If you honestly think that kids will see two sick perverted old men and think, huh, i want to be like him when I grow up? Na. If you do think this, then you have met very many young people.
They have free will and by the time they would be able to understand what those things mean, they have their own set of morals and values.

Why should we have to get over it? What ever happened to manners and common courtesy? Unless you are already involved in a conversation that contains this langue why should any of us be subjected to it when it was is not warranted or provoked.
Manners in all aspects of life are what SHOULD be instilled. Just because you are not within close proximity to someone does not excuse rude behavior. Everyone is loved by someone and are common bond is humanity but for some reason we feel that people should just endure our rude behavior because why????? We can't kick your a** right now?
We are all adults here and it's time that we act like it. IMHO

mistymae you are so right its all about respecting others and treating others as you would like to be treated...And yes we are adults it would be great if more folks acted like it...Thankyou deniselaina and nooneinnocent i think you may have misinterpreted what i was saying its actually being smart most young people have far more respect than these older men that have been so foul mouthed... And why should any of us have to get over it???It shouldnt occur in the first place I havent ever used such vulgarity in my life I am not an abusive person and no one needs to be spoken to in such a crude manner...That goes for men and women...

So what if this is the web. How is that any different from being on the telephone or in a parking lot? It doesn't and I am sorry but at some point in our lives enough is enough.
As an adult we have a responsibility and obligation to address and try to correct a wrong. Most people learn from observation. You start a thread that has nothing but negative comments that is all you will get. However, start a thread with a positive attitude and stay vigilant that everyone post without bashing you have made a difference.
I have seen it on here many times...So no reminding people that actions carry consequences even on the web is a responsibility and "blowing" it off negates that.

As adults we are part of a community.
As a community we have the option of deciding what behavior is and is not acceptable. The same as nudity, this IS an adult site but it ISN'T an adult porn site. Nor is it a site when people congregate to be abused.
If we ALL blow it off and move on, pretty soon it is determined that it is acceptable and then everybody does it like they did the fake and multiple profiles.

I guess it all boils down to.."My momma raised me right"  I would never even think to disrespect any of the people in this, or any other site. Every person has feelings and are capable of having those feelings hurt. Why would anyone think it is Ok to verbally harm another person. Even if this is "Just the net" it still doesn't change the fact that you are dealing with real people with real emotions. I hope thier momma's are proud of thier actions

I have to say that when I joined this site, I joined because of the name. The word Hookup has a certain implication that goes along with it. I never thought that anyone on this site would be looking for lasting love. I would have to say that I am not the only one who got this impression, and that being said, I would expect people who have taken this implication to say things that are off color.
I'm not saying it's right, but I can see where it comes from. Besides that, there are some sick people in this world. We all know that.

I hear you lillibet. When I first came on here I didn't understand all the threads like these. But now I understand perfectly. I understand the posts that is, I definitely do not the understand the vulgarity. And something is seriously wrong when I have to check myself and ask if this is the norm and am I just too naieve and prudish, or are there just way too many sick people out there.
