If I could turn back time I would say yes but only if I could have the normal level of emotional/social maturity of the 50+ set. I would have (1) finished college the first time I started, (2) never taken up smoking and drinking (quit them years ago), and (3) never entered into my previous marriage (threw ten years of my life out the window on that one). Since I cannot turn back time there is no way I would want to be under 50 again. As far as I am concerned this is the prime of life. How about the rest of you and if you could what would you change?

I would still have my son's just not their fathers! I would not have partied so hard in the 80's and I would have finished college gotton a better job sooner and saved money for my future. I never would have started smoking. And instead of running from relationships I would have run to them so I would not be alone now.

Not Me , the road ahead looks so much better. There's also pain back there that would have the same out come. I would not wish to deal with again.. Who knows what wonders are just around the next corner over over the next hill ...

Yea, why did we start smoking?
Under 50 was good. College ... children raised ... became a woman, a wife, a mother, had a career, had a divorce, lost my parents, found myself. Don't think I could have carried those babies after 50 or conceived them for that matter as the "change" (will do you good!) came at 40.
Grandchildren came after 50 and still coming... that is a joyful plus. Married my soul mate when I was 47 he was 58... they were the best years of my life. He became ill when I was 57 so I have to say where that relationship was... before and after 50 was very good until it wasn't... wanted to "leave" with him when he died... he said "no".
Think I wasted time (before I turned 50)on things that are not that important... clean house, what people thought of me, worrying about children, procrastinating on decisions...
staying in bad marriage for 28 years for children (?) not a smart way to show children how relationships should be... my awakening/transition came in my late 40's so that was good.
After 50 my role as parent changed to giving and receiving friendship with my children and that has been wonderful. To see them as people I like as well as love.
Turning 60 next week, now that will be a big one. Looking forward to what God has prepared for the rest of my life. Funny, I still feel so young in my spirit... hope this attitude keeps.
