As a project manager, database developer and data analyst, I notice patterns in the world. Is it just me, or have any of the rest of you noticed a visceral response to certain compositions in primary profile pics?
For example, pictures taken from....
above - the person is submissive
below - they want a partner who will look up to, or be impressed by them
the side - unsure
the front - confrontational
the front with head tilted to the left - easy going
the front with head tilted to the right - inquisitive
the front with shoulders turned or tilted - inviting
lying down - disinterested or looking for sex
far away - something to hide or mysterious
any direction with props - trying to impress or attention-seeking
What amazes me, is that frequently, the overall feel of various people's posts tend to fit with the above impressions for me. Some don't, of course.

Chopper - inviting (notice the shoulders), wants to be equal to her partner (almost direct shot, a little below horizon), a little unsure (facial expression counts too).
You're a tough one because I think overall the pic fits your posts, but the facial expression throws it off. Your posts always strike me as level-headed, direct, and a person who knows her own mind.

You're welcome, Gawd. Stuff like this fascinates me. We choose pics of ourselves because they appeal to us on a subconscious level. (It goes a bit deeper than "does my hair look ok" or "does it make my butt look big".) The silver lining in that is that the pics of ourselves that we really like will appeal to someone who values the same characteristics the picture portrays.
