It's not selfish - it is how it has to be for you to really "be" there for your true love. If you don't put yourself and your interests and opinions etc. first and listen to your gut, you are not worth much to anyone else.

I'm not saying you have to be mean about it. I'm not saying to say "No, we aren't going to eat Italian tonight. I'm in the mood for Mexican" or whatever. Actually, that's a bad example because I personally can be persuaded to be interested in pretty much any restaurant.

Basically, I'm saying, we all have to choose the battles that mean something to us. And you just can't compromise on who you are and what you believe in.

Ok - clarification. If all the guy wants is sex, then what does that really mean? To me, it means he wants someone else because obviously our priorities are conflicting because, to me, I'm interested in the part between the ears, not between the legs. Well, eventually, between the legs becomes interesting but between the ears HAS to come first.
