I smoke.
There is a smoking lounge section on this site.
If they don't wanna be around me , I don't care.
Non essential businesses should have the CHOICE to be smoking or non-smoking.
Essential businesses, government offices etc should be non smoking.
Smokers and Fatties should have to pay extra for healthcare as both are coices/addictions and others shouldn't have to pay extra for our insurance.

i didnt meen on this site. i ment all over the usa. they use ciggerett taxes to build all kinds of places we cant smoke in. so now its time to fight back. thats the same as telling one type of person they cant go where others can. its discrimination.. im not gona tell my date, sorry baby i cant take you there cause we smoke. bars and other places are hurting over this. if its a big deal make it half smoking half non with a glas seperation wall. let people make there own choice. this isnt russia,

Bars, restaurants and so on are non essential, and should be smoking or non, if the owner wants.
Musta been 3 months ago or so, I was having a smoke outside a mall, some fat couple walked by on their way in. The guy makes some kinda sour face and gives me a sideways look. So, I asked him if he thought his 200 lb. a** made him the prime example of health.

Get this. Here in the state of Deliverance, they made a no smoking law. But bars have the choice to be smoking or non.
BUT, if they are smoking, no one under 21 can work there. So, with the stroke of a pen, the gov. put a slug of single young moms on welfare.

Smoking is a choice, not smoking is a choice, eating healthy is a choice, exercising is a choice, marriage is a choice. The thing is worry about yourself not everyone else. I choose to live my life my way, if it is not adversely affecting other people so be it.
California is do damn non-smoking it is ridiculous. We have one town here where you cannot smoke in public at all, not even outside. But believe me, smokers know where the bars that will still let you smoke are, and they are usually packed.

Colorado has been smoke free for several years now , and it has hurt the economy a bit . Come cold or bad weather bars become all but dead . Casinos lose millions . Hell the government is trying to force the indian reservations to go smoke free also . I know that I stopped going out as often when the smking ban went into effect (yes I smoke) . People look down on us smokers like we're some kind of parasite or cancer , and yet , many of those are former smokers themselves . I completely agree that indavidual buisnesses should be the ones to choose if they are smoke free or not .

Not to mention the fact that we support a 60 billion dollar a year revenue for this country so that we don't all have to pay excess taxes like we were business owners in a socialist economy.......hell, for years the tobacco industry has been the one piece of American commodity that has kept its economic value...........
That being said, let's raise the taxes on cigarettes once again in an attempt to make people quit, AND borrow another 150 billion to bailout failing companies.......what a great idea...............who are these genius' again? Oh yeah, our "economic advisors" They must all have houses outside the US where they can escape when this country falls down around them

i think this thread is interesting esp. since we just had that HUGE thread bashing non-smokers (or maybe not meant to be but they did). anyhow, being im a smoker myself, i agree that smoking shouldnt be allowed around non-smokers cuz the ones who dont have a right not to have to breathe the second-hand smoke in and it is unhealthy. do i think smokers need to be condoned for it?? well, i think there shud be places (establishments) that smokers can go if its "smokers" only. and then the "non-smokers" have to make the decision whether they want to be in the presence of it or not ( or stand outside in the cold, but i highly doubt that will happen. u would just leave and go somewhere else)
tho it is a bad habit and an addiction and people make a choice to smoke, i think people tend to forget that someone somewhere out there made the decision to create cigarettes and sell them w/nicotine and all and hence created smokers. and as a result of ALL the smokers who have become addicted to their creation, they made and continue to make millions of dollars. am i looking to pass blame for my addiction? no. but it is what it is and it still exists and as long as cigarettes r available for sale, there will be smokers if they choose to smoke.
so yes, to a degree i think it is discrimination. i mean next r they going to somehow try to ban smoking in your house, in your car, your private spaces? privact act here.
but smokers shud always be respectful of their fellow non-smokers also in every way possible. and non-smokers shouldn't give cross looks or look down upon people that smoke, cuz its none of their business, i.e., the post of the fat guy on here that looked at the smoker outside smoking and then remarked on his weight...too much! but true.
