Why is it that instead of our honest opinion we tell people such lies when we split up with them? I've just come out of a long term relationship and the guy said to me "I just want to live on my own for a bit".. This then led to him moving in with a new girlfriend a week later.
Has anyone else been told one thing when being split up with and then finding out the real reason?

yeah, but ultimately, the outcome is the same... they broke up with you.
Don't get all worked up and concerned about the why's... focus on the what now's... you're 18. you've got plenty of hearts to break.

I guess when you've spent 2 years constantly in someones pocket it's hard to face the facts and get over it.

Girl, you are only 18, and two years with this guy like you said in a previous post is not a very long relationship...
But hey.... If he did what you say, then he wasn't worth being with in the first place...

Yes. It happens to the best of us. The exact same thing happened to me. I thought I had tome to move all of my belongings out, (because she just wanted to "Be by myself.") She moved her new boyfriend in about 8 days after I moved out. And my relationship lasted 7 years, before I got the phony 'sob story'.
Oh well, here I am, ready to try again.
