You got me to thinking on this one.. I thought i hated it, But when i weighed out the days that i hated it vs the days it didn't matter ~ Well By an overwelming amount , I believe i would just as soon be single..
Am quite happy with who i am , where i am and I don't have to kiss anybodys behind either!! Not withstanding the days part ~ I kinda like dating different ladies.. They are alot more obliging when you're not attached to them...

joli46 , you could very well be right (but NOT totally).. With me i think i just gave up inside.. Presuming you are only looking at it from your individual side ~ try doing a search on women.. This will require time (i have been doing so for a couple of years) and what men see is lies from the start.. They want "honesty" and are posting pictures that are as much as 20 years old.. other pictures are of their chest or posing in provocative poses.. Now Just what do you think they are advertising?? Nothing i want!!
They want caring and sensitivity , yet don't answer their mails (guess how that makes a man feel) or "sensitivity" = What are you looking at = Very quick to snap a mans head off.. Body type -- I love this one -- I'm average!! Like thats being "honest"... Just what is average?? Is it what your friends are?? Be "honest!!" Or ~ Do we just tell them pretty things , So they will tell us pretty things in return??
No , I do Not have a self esteem problem either.. As said above: "Am very happy with who i am.." I also don't need my friends to tell me any lies about myself either.. My truth is found in the expressions of people that don't even know me.. They are also more honest...

Hey "Rooster" I surely didn't mean to offend. My only comment was to be that most male mentality is "Why buy the cow when the milk is free" Again I said most. I never yell or become irate on here by the way. I'm adult enough to agree to disagree.
I'm sure you are completely right about a lot of the woman on here. I don't check out women however. I've spoken to men who are long distance and after a few months arrangements are made to meet,and they ALWAYS cancel. I've gotten close to a couple of gentlemen since last year and have ended up with my heart tore out. So it does happen to the best of us. I get asked quiet often to be "friends w/ benefits". That's a very big insult. I'm someones mother and grandmother and would like to be respected as such. No-where on my profile does it say that I'm easy or trashy. I'm looking for a good honest person to love and who will return the same. One final note,yes I am looking for someone who takes good care of themselves,but not a centerfold male. Looks comes in 3rd or 4th place to me. I do apoligize for causing such a stir.

i don't completely like being single, the holidays make me want to hibernate from halloween till after the first of the year. it has been years since i have had any female companionship on my birthday, and any other times that would be best spent with someone special.
on the other hand, with no one to keep me back, i can do what i want if anything within reason, go where i want and not worry how long i'm gone. i can belch, leave the toilet seat up, and forget birthdays, etc.
both have good points, but for me, it would be nice to have a warm female to snuggle with, go places, and keep me from becoming so deeply encased in a shell that i might as well be a turtle.

Don't get me wrong...I would love to be in an amazing relationship again...but I also know that being in a miserable one is much worse than not being in one, at all. There is a MAJOR difference between being alone, and being lonely.
I could not really vote...so I did not. I do not love OR hate it! I just do the best with what I have...when I AM single...I do it to the fullest, just like when I AM in a relationship, I give it my all.

I have been single and wanted it that way to me it was a complication I didnt need so never tried anything more than casual. I also liked not being strapped to Holidays could do things when the crowd wasnt there competing for space. Suppose I have always been rather independent. Now I want to share more feel the need to hug often. Things change as priorities change. I would say I dont want to be single but hate is to strong a word, would just rather have someone to share with.

For most of my life I had no problem being completely alone, and often preferred it, but now I don't like it at all. I remember thinking that I wish I had the house to myself, and now I no longer enjoy. I'm sure I would still occasionally like it, but mostly I'm not a loner anymore. I didn't even realize it until I was put back in this situation.

I've learned a lot, grown a lot, and become more responsible and am actually very happy, yet I miss having a partner to share it with. I absolutely hate the dating scene, I'm looking for forever and it seems a lot of guys are looking for just that night. I'm sure not planning to rush into anything! Ideally, a relationship where the two were friends, enjoyed each other's company and both knew the work it takes to have a relationship and were willing to work together on it.. that would be the ideal.
