I receive a lot of messages from men that say their 25 but are obviously older. I mean I don't mind older men, I've been with someone 11 yrs older than me. But I do have a age range that I'm am looking for. I don't appreciate them lying about there age, it makes me not want to talk to them.
Women on the other hand, are more truth worthy. I haven't had a probably with them so far. but they are hard to find on this site lol

I have seen sooo many people, of both sexes, lie about thier age on this site....
I dont understand it.
I get attention from men ages 19 to 70....
I dont wear a bikini or pose in evening wear ( or even lingerie ).
I am honest and open about my age thank you very much!!!!!!!
Another thing I dont like is men who post pics of themselves with:
1. No shirt on
2. A beer in thier hand
3. Smoking...I smoke ( dirty habit that I am trying to give up)
4. Grabbing themselves and lastly
5. Having someone else grab them ( YUCK )

I lie about my age all the time. Women are such natural liars that they don't even realize they are not truthful. They will sit across the table from you and complain about lying, with hair that is not thier real color, makeup to cover the reality of thier skin, all kinds of cosmetic surgery, high heals to make them taller. I accept this in women and it doesn't bother me at all.
Why do I lie about my age? First off it is to get past the barrier on cyber dating of age ranges. Women say the want a certain age range. Who has ever met a woman who really knows what she wants. I see women who are 5'00" tall and want a guy over 6'00". Are the looking for a date or starting a basketball team. I am recently divorced from a woman 21 years younger than me. I have young teenage children. I don't personaly know any grandparents socially. If I put my real age I get replies from very old grandmothers who put photos of their grandchildren on the site. Before I make a date with a woman I will tell her the truth about my age. I have dated many women on cyber sites and not one of them has ever questioned my age. I have always been much younger than my age...probably why I was attractive to a much younger woman in the first place.
I meet guys my age all the time who are old men..so I undestand women's reluctance to meet them. However despite my real age, I am not an old man. I don't really look like it, dress like it, act like it and my daily reality is not that old. The only real thing about my elderlyness, is that I know some things and have some things (assets). If this is a turnoff then too bad. Truthfully if you see me blasting done the freeway with the top down in a car full of sixteen year old boys, yes I am the one with the grey hair.
Also, made a good living for many years directing and producing televison commercials, and then writing and producing FICTION motion pictures. The cold hard truth has never made me a nickle..so why start with it now. If your truth is boring me, please just make something up that is interesting.

Why do people lie, period.
I think people will keep doing what's important to them, in this case, lying. Ignoring unpleasant emails after reading their profiles is the best weapon. Silence is your weapon and do not be irritated by their behavior. Integrity is your best friend. There are good people out there. You just need to weed out the ones who you think do not serve your purpose in being here. You're young and beautiful, don't be disappointed.

I like how men lie and say "a few extra pounds". How many is a few extra pounds? 75, 200? Not only do they lie about their age they are suddenly shorter, smoke, have missing teeth, or even say they are interested in dating a nice woman when really they want to sleep with you and forget the date. Suddenly this perfect guy has more problems than the Queen has hats.

insecurity, denial and reality.
Hey I will be the first to say getting older can suck at times but it also has many advantages, I would rather be with someone who isnt angry or resentful.
In response to another person: Lying is something hidden, dying your hair or wearing high heels is not hidden or lying. Now if someone asked me, Do you have high heels on and I answered NO, then I would be lying. Or if someone asked Do you dye your hair and I said No then I would be lying. Justification can be a dangerous tool..
By the way this is a good topic, I like it!!!!

Most people lie (not just men), in one way or another. Some about their age, others about their weight (what do you consider average and how much IS a FEW pounds),how much they make, what they do, still others about their social status.
OP states in her profile... a few extra pounds.... in the dictionary it states that a few is a grammatical word used to indicate that there are not many or hardly any. When I was in school I was told that a few were 3 to 5, after that it was several. I don't see in any profiles several extra pounds.
If you plan on meeting anyone, it's a bit self-defeating. They are going to see you eventually. Stick with what and who you are and be proud of THAT. JMO
