I agree on this one 100%, providing the man likes his mother and has some Respect for her. Alot of men have no Respect for anyone and thats where the trouble starts. lol JMO

TheRichard, you need to RE-READ the question. lol it says a man should TREAT his woman the way he would want his mother to be TREATED. lol nothing to do with love. lol unless I am mis understanding this post myself.???? No man should ever love a woman more than the woman that gave life to them. lol JMO

This concept works in business as well as personal relationships. I interview business owners and write profiles about them and their businesses, and many of them say they want their employees to treat customers the way they would want their mother to be treated. It is just common courtesy and a different slant on the "Golden Rule." You can treat others the way you'd like to be treated, or the way you'd like to see your mother treated which maybe takes it a step further. You may put up with something you wouldn't want your mom to experience.
I've also heard it said that if a woman is getting serious about a man, she should observe the way he treats his mom because that's likely the way he'll treat you in the long term.

Not exactly like he would treat his mother except for the respect aspect of it.
A woman he is being intimate with needs romantic gestures in their relationship.
Something I dont treat my mother with.

I kind of disagree with this. Your mother is not your partner or girlfriend. I treated my Mother with respect at all time, I would defer to her at times even if I disagreed with her, just because she was my mother.
I don't believe that is the way to interact with a life partner. You partner should at least be your equal. You should be able to express your veiws openly with them, not defer to them.

Many avenues on this MsBev. I will say this. The man I met here and have been dating takes excellent care of his mom. He did the same for his grandmother. Both were widows. He is generious to his neighbors and very respectful to the ex wife. It says alot about who he is. It was the things he has sacrificed and does for his mother(ill) that made me want to know him more. He is a very beautiful person indeed. Good Thread Hun.
