a good man does not mean a perfect man. when i say "good" man... I want a man who can express his feelings, who has strong sense of family, who is there for his friends, family ,community. just an average guy who may make mistakes but can own up to them. and one who never brings harm to others intentionally. he may leave the seat up sometimes, or stay out hunting too long, but love can over look those things. oh yeah, and he has to work, or at least try to!

Because most women don't realize that in there own way the man they have can be a very special one... The more time you are together the more that you fall in to a routine. If you want your man to be a "GOOD MAN" Then surprise him by doing something he wouldn't expect you to and then I'm pretty sure that he will do the same. You gotta keep the spark in the relationship. Or you will start thinking that the man you have isn't all that good and you start looking for what you think is a "GOOD MAN" again, again, and again.
For those who don't have a man Yes there are Good Men left in this world. But it takes a good woman to find him or at least keep him interested.

Good man, Bad man..... it's a choice and a value set. What was said earlier is true also..... what the lady sees as a "good man" will differ from lady to lady. Some will apply that to sexual activity. Some will apply that to fidelity. Some will apply that to openness, etc. The deal is to find the person that fits your definition. That's why we are here. None of us are looking for our examples of "bad". We are all looking for the good ones. Or was I just being goofy?????
And yes, they are here..... you just have to find them.....

Funny, a lady will post a thread like this then ignore it and then still ask "wheres all the good men" as previously said it takes a good woman to find a good man. Maybe i should ask where is all the good ladies who can recognize what a good man is. Does looking like Brad the Pitt make you a good man or driving a high dollar car and buying fancy clothes and jewelry etc make a good man...NOT !! ...The definition of what a good man is has changed drastically...try to be a gentlemen and then get called a chavunist because you open a door for a women...I had this happen to me recently...her response when i made the effort to open door was "what you dont think im capable of doing that myself, you must be a chavunist" WHOA...So now is being a gentlemen not considered being a good man?..is caring more about how you look more important than how you think and treat others ? I guess im the old fashioned version of what a good man is..work hard make a good living, treat others as you would like to be treated. Smile even when you dont feel like it. Be a gentelmen even if it seems now that its politically incorrect, treat a lady like a lady. Good man here just open your eyes a bit wider... DJ

Hello, Vicky here from Wayne County. I have been on this site for several months, still no takers. I would prefer a man close to my age (57), anywhere from 54 to 59 would do. Any man can be nice, but most just nice until they get what they want, then they disappear. I am not hard to look at, am loyal, loving, a little "onry" at times. I can be stubborn, but not often. I am not too hard to please. I have been single for over 30 years, haven't dated in 2 years. A "good man" is hard to find, and harder to keep. I am not politically correct, make mistakes like any human, and try to learn from them. So if you are a "good man", one who is honest and trustworthy, says what they mean and mean what they say, I would love to hear from you!

I am considered a good guy. I haven't dated anyone since August of 2008. I just have trouble finding someone that is single and don't smoke. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and 99 percent of the women in West Virginia smokes. I don't drink neither but don't mind if the woman drinks some. I have no kids and never married.
