Olebikerdude and I thought we would share the good times we are having with all of you. He surprised me by coming two days earlier than planned (he called when he was about an hour away from the house) to celebrate my birthday which is today. We had a great time on Monday evening when we had a small birthday celebration with some friends. The pork dish he prepared is one of his own creations...Olebikerdude not only rides a Harley folks...he trained and worked as a chef for several years. The pork chops were butterflied first...tenderizer was next...then marinated in Italian dressing...topped with onions, peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese...two layers of this and they were ready to pop into the oven. I prepared Potatoes Anna with fresh rosemary from my garden, tomato/basil/fresh mozzarella and a drizzle of olive oil, sliced cucumbers in a vinaigrette, and we cheated, purchased prepared jalapeno cornbread. We cooked side by side in my small kitchen and I never had to even hint at popping him in the head with the cast iron frying pan....LOL
The Main Dish in all its glory...but lacking the second layer of goodies...
