I just want to find a nice gal that would like to go out and do fun things. I am new to this area (I've now been here just about 3 weeks) and still haven't met any women. O.k. So I know it sounds like I'm being anxious, but hey, I'm not ugly or anything (unless I'm in denial about it). I've had my profile on this site and haven't received any responses with the exception of a truck driver out of... Oh, I don't remember, but it was in the southern U.S., not exactly someone I can call up to go to dinner with. Are there just no women in this area that are seriously looking for a nice guy? I work in the sales industry and I do talk to a number of women, but work is no place to ask a woman out on a date. Besides work I don't know anybody out here. I am very outgoing, but I hate being a loner (going by myself to places that people usually go to as couples or groups).
Here I am... Desperately seeking a woman who would like to take a chance and go out with a nice, professional guy. Any takers? 
Would really like to meet some people out here.

we are all in the same boat together..relax and quit looking so hard....ive had 5-6 bad dates in the last 5 weeks..take your time dude...enjoyyour new surruondings for a while..if i lived closer-i would take you out and show you all there is to see there..good luck to you....your not in denial....

keep in mind you are looking for a very special someone... you won't find that someone just by snapping your fingers. (if only it worked like that huh) It takes time to search. But she is out there waiting and looking just like you. Have patience, and enjoy the ride.

Beloit...go on the forums, keep posting, get to know people! You will find a lady you are interested in, or she will find you. At the very least, you will make good friends who are there 24/7 to talk to. Not such a bad fallback, is it? So, its pretty much a win/win situation..just take a deep breath, and make some friends! The rest falls into place afterwards.

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and go solo...
Me.... Lone wolf, most of the time..... But I was'nt sitting here pounding the keyboard on a friday night (true, i did come home early and post a while, but only because I wore t-shirt and shorts out and it was getting a tad chilly to be out like that)...
I went out to dinner at my regular spot (bar&grill kinda place, never any drunks), and chatted with a couple girls there...
Then I went to starbucks for iced tea and ran into two more girls there... Although they were too young for me (maybe 20?), we chatted a bit anyway.... After that, I bummed around downtown lakeworth, ran into someone I know and visited for a bit, and said to a couple more girls on the way to my truck...
I had fun, and it's not difficult...

i do that and really going by yourself has it's advantages over goin with friends so try to mix it up.a little less intimidating if you are by yourself and being approachable is a good thing.just don't expect it but it will happen from time to time.

Thanks, Metu... South Florida is kinda messed up... Most folks here are all about "status", and most of em' are fake..... >insert vomit sound here<  I'm just a regular jerk who thinks they can pound their fake "status" up their ass....
I want me a girl who's proud of that little bit of dirt under her broken nail, and does'nt whine about it......
And, WileyDude.. You're right.. Going solo makes you approachable simple because, YOU'RE SOLO.....

Hang in there beloit. Us Wisconsinites really are friendly. Just takes time. I go as a 3rd, 5th... whatever, wheel all the time. Most of my friends are married and they invite me to join...which is always an opportunity to meet that special someone. However I draw the line in going to Ixtapa as a 5th wheel...still looking for someone...anyone?????

well I think this dating thing just sucks, I find mostly perverts, sex craved men, men that wants someone like there mom to take care of them, druggies, alcoholics, or want kids, im 45 dont need to make more babies, lol it really sucks, I dont like men that every other word that comes out of there mouth begins with "f" I think I will become a nun lol Im not kidding, what ever happened to the "old fashion " kind of dating??? hmmm

For the record, I lived in Beloit for about 2 years. You will not find someone in Beloit, unless you're all for the drug/criminal/makes 7.50 per hour at McD type female. There is nothing to do in Beloit. Nowhere to go. Thank god I found someone before I went to Beloit, and he even lived in Rockford. Try Rockford.
I'm happily back in Madison. Much more dating material here.
